Alright this is my situation, My friend ( X ) loves this girl (Y), and everybody knows that, Girl Y says she loves Guy X too... But Our friend Guy P likes to screw other people's relationship by trying to get other people's girls, for example yesterday in front if Guy X , Guy P didnt talk to girl Y at all but as soon as Guy X left, Guy P started playing the pitty game with girl Y trying to get her attention and holding her hands etc... and as soon as Guy X returned Guy P stopped, but he goes back at it as soon as Guy X goes again... My question is, is it wrong for me to have told Guy X about this ( talking and all but not telling the holding hands part) or not ?

PLEASE ANSWER...

Guy X knows Guy P does these sort of things, Guy P knows he does it too.

"The Pitty Game" is when your all soapy and mopy and give that disappointed , sad look , in an effort for a girl to come and give you some comfort - ladies this is the oldest trick in the book...

If friend X thinks guy P is his friend then he needs to know. But as long as he trusts girl Y then it won't be that big a deal, but he needs to kick guy P to the curb.

No idea what "the pitty game" is, but as you've told X, what's the point in asking if you did the right thing? It's done; whether it was right or wrong is immaterial now.

Are X and Y a couple? That's not entirely clear. But, for what it's worth, I never think it's a good idea to tell a friend that their partner is cheating on them (to whatever extent). Best to speak to the person concerned and either get them to confess or to stop - or maybe there is nothing going on. All you should do for your friend is to be there for them if it all goes pearshaped.

One is a matter of ethics and the other, possibly, a matter of law. There are laws in some countries against citizens betraying their country. In my country, the USA, there are no laws against betraying a friend. Even if bound by contract to a friend, if complying with the contract requires you to do something illegal, that part of the contract, and perhaps the entire contract, would be, if tested in court, held as unenforecable and, therefore, no longer binding. Betrayal of a friend is a matter of ehics, not law.

Tell him everything... Friends should tell the truth even it's not that pleasant.
