It depends on where you live. I live in Indiana, here there is a place called FACE where they spay/neuter them cheap, I think it was like 25 dollars and to get a full round of shots was another 30. If you go to an actual vet, it's going to be about 150-300 dollars, if not more. Check local on-line places or call the humane society, they usually run every couple of months free of charge service, but you have to make an appointment when you first hear about it. They fill up fast!

Hi Steph...prices to neuter a cat vary depending on where you live throughout the world. Some shelters will perform the procedure for a small sum. I've seen the average price for shelters between $30-50 in the US and Canada and for private practicing vets anywhere between $75-400. It's best to consider calling around and contacting your local humane society/shelter to find the best rate for neutering a male cat.

Go to a humane society for your cat. We did for two of ours and paid about $70 for the kitten. That included her deworming and spay. AND we got it done at our own vet because they had a deal worked out! You can't ask for better than that. If you adopt a kitten off the street, you can expect it will be a bit more than that.

at my vet it cost me $150 per cat but I got the $50 pre anestesia blood testing to make sure that they were healthy enough to go through the procedure.
if you don't care about the blood work and want something cheeper you can contact your local SPCA and they will do it for a discounted rate and if you can proove finacial hardship they may even do it for free.

A whole lot less than raising the kittens. At one time, on the farm, it was like Hitchcocks "The Birds" when I hit the food dish-at actual count, we had 22 come on the run and probably a litter or more in the barn! Get them taken care of before you get over-run or have to declare bankrupcy!

Not expensive. Our vet did the operation for about £25. Although I believe it you take it to certain humane societies for example they can get it done a lot cheaper still.

i paid $75 for each of my female cats.
some animal shelters will do them for nearly half that.
irregardless, unless you are breeding them, have it done as they are better pets.
