Everything I know about Islam? Gollleeee, that would fill several books. Do your own study and make up your own mind. But be careful to distinguish between Islam itself and some of the idiots who claim to be Muslims. It's the same with Christianity, too, or any other religion.

Well….once a wise man told me this:
If you do bought... Let's say a very complicated computer and you don't know how even how to turn it on…then you may going to need a help form the mother company to send you instructor to help you understand using that machine.
That instructor will tell you ever thing you might need to know about how this computer run.
As the instructor can't stay with you all the time, he leaves you with a user-guide.
To guide you if any problems comes up in the future or other anytime.
Did you got the image….ok now here is the rock, the complicated computer is our life. The mother company let's just say for the example is god.
And the instructor is his messenger Mohammad, how come to help us deal with this life and success in it and success in the other life and win paradise.
And the user-guide is the holy Quran which contains any thing that maybe Muslim need to know how to survive this life with success and happiness…

I know quite a few muslim people I get on well with most of them. I don't mind the sound of their praying. I have travelled in islamic countries, Malaysia, Indon, without being hassled for being a westerner.
My only real objection to muslims (apart from idiot terrorists of course), is that the women have to cover themselves up and I don't get to see them. If I see islamic girls in bikinis and mini-skirts I might consider converting.

Islam is a good religion.

I admire their way of spirituality and the concept of being united as a single community. Islam is a strong religion.

But I don't admire the followers. Using religion as a reason to kill other people is stupid and immoral.

i belive that islam is the only true religion.i m not saying bcoz i m a muslim but bcoz of the fact that islam, like all religious philosophies of the world condemn evil practises like rape , murders etc, but it also gives steps to prevent such evil practises..........take the example of rape, the Quran says : men should lower their gaze ( first step towards preventing rape as a man couldnt see a woman walking alone as he is lowering his gaze) . Quran also says that women should cover themselves well enough (not to arouse sexual feelings in males and also men should also cover themselves well enough not to arouse sexual feelings in women.)
even if rape happens , then punish the rapist with capital punishment , which terrorises the people who rape and by this way Islam suggests the most appropriate measures to remove the evil practises.in the same way,Islam also suggest preventive measures for other evil practises.

i think that due to the behaviour of a minority of fundamentalists, the wrong light is shed on this religion. i believe that islam is a religion with integrity, just like catholisism, judaism and other religions. but it also has lacunas just like the other religions when it comes to interpretation of the sacred texts. it's a pity that our opinion is most of the time subjected to the interpretation of western media and by the atrocities of the fundamentalists who believe that they are going back to the roots of their religion when in reality they are warping the true essence of this religion
