About 15 years ago bloody was as rude as F***.
Now its not really considered a swear word. You can say it on some children's programmes.
ITs just a mild exclamation of surprise - bloody hell.
Sometimes its still combined with the F word for emphasis as in bloody f***ing hell.

yes, a mild cuss-word, not only in England, but also Australia and New Zealand
it can be used in many of the same cases f***ing can be used.
If you think it is amusing that bloody is considered a swear-word, we think it is amusing that damn or Hell are considered swear-words.
Also the word Fanny is used for the buttocks in USA, but it has a much ruder meaning in British English.

Not as much as it used to be these days,
There's a lot worse...... It's still looked at by many people as a true swear word, but it's quite commonly used regardless...
According to wikipedia, it's not even in the top 10!

It definitely used to be but nowadays ive even heard it on childrens tv! In Victorian times drat and damn used to be swear words too but how the times change eh?
