You can't make her happy. It starts with her. You can only encourage her to get some counselling and try to work out what ever it is that's keeping her depressed.

It doesn't sound like your girlfriend is a very healthy woman. Pushing her into happiness isn't going to make her any happier, either. My best advise would be to give her some space, perhaps recommend that she see a doctor. Don't do anything stupid like marry her or get her pregnant--it will only make things worse in the long run.

Why is she not allowed to take the med's? If she is feeling depressed she needs to see a doctor. Unfortunately there is little you can do to help her. It sounds like you are being supportive, that is what she needs! Your love and understanding is all a girl really ever needs. Be there for her if she needs to talk about why she is sad, NEVER tell her to "just get over it". I speak from expirience.

maybe she is still in need of some medicine...but only a certain kind of doctor would know that...all you can do is care for her like you have...she has to try and help herself too...you can give and give and give and it may not help...i do think she needs to see a psychiatrist.....

It sounds like you are being supportive, and that's really all you can do. She has mental issues, and there is probably nothing you can do to help change that....good luck.

Majority of women feel lonely. on medicine or not. Just be there for them. you cant make her forget only time. if you cant stick it out then your not the guy for her.

is she sick or anything? well try to cheer her up by doing lively activities such as going to a theme park to take her blues away, and if that doesnt work have SEX with her that should ALWAYS fix it...

well, id recommend you to focus on yourself and not on her so much, maybe she will follow your example and focus on your future and future life, rather than the unchangeable past
