I began to answer, saying that I wanted to be the first to answer this question; then I hit SEND, thinking my words would be there before anybody else's and I could edit at my leisure and my answer be first. Thought I was being quick but Yahoo Abuse Squad was quicker, expunging my words and charging me 2 counts of abuse. My answer should have been: At age 12 he was in the temple arguing with priests and theologians, and lost track of time; and when his parents found him, they admonished him; and he replied that he was involved in his father's affairs(presumably meaning God's).
Most other of his childhood events, likely not considered pertinent to his ministry, are not included in his followers' accounts.
Apostle Paul later says that he learned obedience through the things that he suffered. So perhaps a lot of that was going on; and by the time he got into his 30's he was mature, ready to start an earnest ministry, okay?
Now this question: I commited abuse, how would you rate it?

yeah, i have a large problem with christianity and other religions. But this is a good problem with Christianity that i find.

From the time of "Christmas" his birth and 12 years old we hear nothing about him.

From the time of about 16 to 30 we hear nothing about him either.
But when the time is right (adult maturity) for him to have gathered a way to preach his "false ministry" he's ready to come out of the closet. I don't get it.

We also don't hear anything post Jesus' dying until about 80- 90 A.D. some 50-60 years after his death. That was when the new testament was begun.

so to recap -- christianity leaves Gaps
1-12 = nothing
14-30 = nothing (probably studying old testament and figuring a way to preach it)
30-33 = preaching, water/wine, parties, pontius pilate, cross, etc etc
then
90 A.D. a book about him was begun. ( It was like a 3rd grader writing on the subject of astral physics) They didn't have 100% knowledge of who he was or what exactly it was that he stood for. They just guessed and made fables that would put him on a pedastal.

Those are some pretty large gaps to explain for someone who's life 75% of America persay worships. If i was devoting my life to christianity I would want to know what happened from day 1 to his death before I began worshiping him with my life.

At other kid's birthday parties, Jesus was a big hit for turning water into kool-aid.

But seriously, his childhood save for his birth and the temple visit are unknown. Some think he might have gone to India or came in contact with Buddhists in his youth. If he had been living outside of Israel until his emergence as a prophet/messiah this would explain why the Bible has no record of his youth. He returned from his journeys and studies empassioned with the desire to teach people a new way of thinking.

It's easy to take information from a religion's holy book, modify it, and then claim it as your own. And then to make sure that nobody can do the same thing to the holy book that you create, all you have to do is put in that book that you are the final prophet and anyone who ciaims to be prophet after you must be a liar. Jesus is the Son of God, not a prophet of Islam and Muhammad was a liar.

The Bible doesn't give us many details about Jesus' boyhood—although there isn't any reason to think He didn't run and play like other boys His age. The Bible simply says that as a boy "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men" (Luke 2:52). Those words indicate that even as a young boy Jesus knew He was unique, and was set apart by God for a special mission.

The only glimpse the Bible gives us of Jesus' boyhood years confirms this. Mary and Joseph were devout people, and every year they journeyed to Jerusalem to celebrate one of the major religious feasts. Jesus always went with them—but once, when He was 12, He got separated from them, and they only found Him several days later.

Where was He? They found Him in the Temple, surrounded by religious teachers and scholars and "listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers" (Luke 2:46-47). Afterward He told Mary and Joseph, "Didn't you know I had to be in my Father's house?" (Luke 2:49). He already knew that God was His Father and He was God's Son, sent from heaven to save us from our sins.

The most important truth about Jesus, however, is this: He grew up and willingly went to the cross for us. He loves us that much! Have you responded to His love by giving your life to Him?

I've been searching for the lost books of the Bible and any translations. There are others that the "All too Holy" don't want us to read! Super-Man's teen years didn't exist until someone created it. How could we believe that the missing books are real or not? Then we come back to the word "Faith"!!!

That seems to be a fairly accurate answer with regard to the mythology. I am curious, still, you did not clarify how it was that you were abusive.
