Microwave or Grill.
I usually heat them under a medium grill with a bit if butter but I recently heard that they can be done in a microwave.
Anyone tried the micro and how long to I heat each fish for?

The most famous of smokies comes from arbroath just north of Dundee, Scotland. The Arbroath smokie is a haddock that has been smoked over hardwood until it takes on a beautiful burnished gold colour and a full, smoky flavour. Legend has it that the smokie was first created when a haddock was discovered in the embers of a burning cottage in the town. The haddock - which was charred from the fire - was sampled by some fishermen and found to be delicious. Voila, the smokie was born!

Traditionally it is eaten at breakfast (kippers). To keep it moist and get the best creamy flavour cook it on the stove. Add milk to a frying pan just to a depth of one inch, with some butter and heat until simmering. Lower the heat and add the smokie and cover. Let it simmer for few minutes. Drain and serve it with oatcakes and and/or a freshly poached egg.

Traditionally poached to keep the fish moist. Microwave is fine, but only for a very short time and put just a bit of water or milk and a bit of butter in the dish to keep it from turning to rubber. Time depends on size of fish - 1-2 mins is usually enough

If you're going to grill it, put a bit of water in the bottom of the grill pan, so that it creates steam to keep the fish moist.
