I have my own business. Per law I am required to demand proof of citizenship or proof of a right to work in this country. However, I am not allowed to ASK if someone is a citizen or not. Yeah, that's true. Another thing, in Southern California, ther are open air stalls that anybody can buy bogus green card. and ss cards. Everybody knows where they are. Including the INS. They do nothing about it. So, as an employer, I do my best. But I expect I have illegals working for me. I am not the INS, nor am I the police. If they did their job, as the law demand, we would not have this problem. Don't blame the employers. I don't see any benefit from illegal workers. No, let me take that back. Yes I do get a benefit. Because of the illegals, wages are depressed for all workers. Legal or not. So, yes I see a benefit. What I will never understand is why the legal immigrants would support the illegals.

I would hire them. They are better works than most Americans. They want to work and are willing to work. Most Americans don't want to work any more. They are loyal and dedicated works. This is what makes a company stay in business and grow.Unlike Americans works that always missing work don't want to work over time etc.
