I'm sorry you attracted bloody little englanders here (Nigels) as they always come out from under their stones when another country is mentioned.
They are scum.
Most English people are not like this at all.
Just the Nigels.
Now, depending on your preferences, the Trossachs area is stunning at this time of year.
Get out the car and have a picnic, a walk, but just stop to look around.
In Stirling there's plenty historic sites from the castle to the Wallace Monument.
It's pretty much in between Glasgow and Edinburgh, two major cities that offer much from art, culture, music and food.
Don't take any notice of the Nigels.
Bring what you seek to find in attitude and you will have a wonderful time.

There is plenty to do in Central Scotland.

Loads to do in either Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee or Perth. You could visit museum, galleries, Castles (such as Edinburgh, Stirling for example). If thats not your bag then there is the outdoors. Your not too far from either the Loch Lomond or the loch and hills near Perth for example.

Other than that you could visit the website below for more information. Hope it helps.

it's fantastic here in central scotland. glasgow and edinburgh are only 50 minutes apart by train and both offer everything you could ask for (except sunshine - well it is september !) stirling is also a great place to go, as is falkirk. culture, food, entertainment, brill folk. masses of history and plenty of pubs. What else do you need ? Oh and don't miss Jimmy Chungs chinese buffet on waverley bridge in edinburgh. fab !
