Well basically, they are trying to get away from you...kidding!

Well if they want to break up, then they are probably need to clarify what it is they feel for you. So how are they meant to know if they miss you, or whether they could live without you if you're always around?
Another possibility is that they really don't want to be with you and they are trying to say it nicely so as not to hurt you anymore than they have already

I think what that means in an honest relationship is that the person they are with is smothering them. They do like the person, but are feeling clinged to. It's a warning, knock it off or I am going to break up with you.

It's either that or they already met somebody else and they are cheating and want to keep you on the line while they check the other person out, just in case the new one doesn't work.

Either way, it's not a good sign.

' i need some space " actually means, ' i need some space' and just that.when we r in a relationship,v tend to ignore few things or overreact on certain situations b'coz of our insecurities and fears.when there is a rough phase and we r confused,v can not figure out what actually we want we say this phrase.it means i need to be on my own for some time so that i can decide what i want which i will not have to regret later on.it means 'i will realize what u mean to me only when i am away from u so plz give me some space.'

Cliches are great for hiding behind when you do not know the answer or want avoid anothers feelings.

Some times people do just need some time away from everything and everyone to be able to get their thoughts into perspective.

Or perhaps it's just they need some space........lol

They say that because they want time to think it through, to see whether the relationship is worth all the time and trouble or not. Too see if the good times out weigh the bad. BUT you should no the difference, as it can be just an escuse to dump you or cheat on you.

BECAUSE IT IS EASIER TO SAY THAT THEN I FEEL LIKE YOU ARE PUTTING A PILLOW OVER MY FACE EVERYTIME I LOOK AT YOU....BUT SPACE ISN'T ALWAYS BAD IT COULD ALSO MEAN I NEED TO SEE IF THIS IS REALLY WHERE I WANT TO BE.

when people are breaking up, that's the easiest way to do it. If you try the direct approach, prepare for flying objects and harsh words!!!
