girls, i asked the same question to the guys yesterday and i got that most say they wouldn't cheat but the most that would was because of alcohol or fancying a woman. So what would be the reasons you would cheat on a partner if you did?

I couldn't do it - my guilt chip is firmly in place. I have been tempted strongly on many occasions, and to be honest, flirting is very addictive. Outside the excitement of the clandestine comments though, and the winks and occasional goosings, the person I've found myself flirting with turns out to have been someone that in a single situation I never would have gone for, certainly not over my boyfriend.

I find that If I give it enough time, hang out a lot with the flirty boy etc., their appeal begins to diminish. Just don't drink around them. It's no excuse and I have resisted their charms drunk, but it's a damn sight harder, because your horn levels go up sevenfold and your inhibitions come crashing down like dominoes. By God, though, you'll have both a real and a psychological hangover the next day.

My fella was actually very understanding when I tried to confess I'd been flirting with a guy at work. He said "Hmm, is that really fair on HIM?" He had a good point.

If I didn't really like him. I have never cheated but that's because i believe that if you are willing to cheat then how can you possibly love that person? And if you don't love them, then dump them before you get with someone else, it's the only decent thing to do.

I can't stand it when people cheat and use drink as an excuse. I get drunk (very) but i am always well aware of what it is that I'm doing. And even in my most intoxicated moments, i still know cheating is wrong and wouldn't do it because i love my boyfriend and wouldn't jeopardise it for all the big-willied men in the world!

I cheated once when I was 17 and really naive and really immature and it broke my ex's heart and mine at the same time and I never got over it and regretted it with all my heart, if I could turn the clock back I would.

Girls cheat for a variety of reasons, lack of affection, too scared to make the break up, temptation cos it's a good looking guy and its someone different, insecurity - it makes you feel good. thinking they can get away with it.

I would never ever cheat again its not worth the heartache, just look at your relationship and question it then make the break.

Perhaps to get even with a cheating partner whom you're not prepared to end the relationship with. To make the hurt he caused more bearable. But when both are cheating, the relationship is begining to end.

Im not the person who cheats because I think it is wrong, so if I was to ever cheat on my bf he would have had to do something very drastic and heartbreaking for me to get even like that. I think what would make me cheat is if I found out if he was out doggin me or if he cheated first

I think that people cheat for a variety of different reasons, insecurity, an ego boost, to see if the grass is greener on the other side, over-active hormones or if something is lacking in the relationship. . . .it doesn't always mean they have fallen out of love or the relationship they are already in is over.

Personally I wouldn't. Never done it. But I did ask a woman I knew who had and she said it was the most exciting thing she'd ever done. She loved all the sneaking around.

Hmmm, honestly? If i ever did do that, i think it would be because i felt my husband or bf was not making me feel special or beautiful anymore, like he did when we 1st started dating...women need the hand holding, kissing and being told that they are the best!!
If i felt like i was getting less important to him, less attention than i am used to him giving, then i might start to notice others...if i dont feel secure anymore, then i think i would be more emotionally open to others that can make me feel better...?(thats if nothing bad happened like cheating on me etc) otherwise i would just leave him...wasnt meant for me anyhow..

I wouldn't cheat the one i love even if i stop loving him, i wouldn't . i will just tell him that all is over and we have to move on,
i will gain nothing if i cheat him except that he will be hurt and all, ut that doesn't make sense. coz nobody would like to be cheated on

There are no reasons. I wouldn't cheat at all.
