when i was young my mother told told me she did not want me and was going to have me given away she arranged for me to be adopted but decided to keep me, i had an awful childhood alot of abuse i was hit alot and thrown out of my mothers house, she would have me back and kick me out again. I grew up insecure, have got over alot of it, but sometimes i still i am still insecure and think people do not like me or care about me even when they do. I worry about rejection sometimes because of it and think people wont like me, i never felt good enough, need to get over these feeling and be more confidant in myself.

Forget about the past...be thankful that you were able to survive all of them and now you're big enough to have a life of your own... welcome friends along the way...think positive and count your blessings instead of thinking about your past....remember it's your present and future life which you need to work out best...be yourself, be confident, be proud...God loves you unconditionally and i do believe a bright and happy future awaits you...God Bless and Goodluck...

Yes. It does sound like you need to develop a lot of self-confidence. I suggest that you look within yourself for it, and not at other people. That's because other people are unpredictable and may do more harm than good. I think it might be great if you set some reasonable goals for yourself, and work to reach them. Get a degree. Get that job. A nice car maybe? After you make yourself whole then maybe you should seek relationships with other people. When you feel someone doesn't care about you or like, you will have the strength to realize that it doesn't matter if they do or don't and that life will go on, because you are OKAY.

I am sorry you had such a traumatic childhood. maybe you have someone to talk over things with? or perhaps you could try support organisations or counselling? I have had a good childhood but terrible adult life and this has affected me in a similar way, i have tried counselling but find the best way is to tak to friends and work my own way through it .good luck x
