Does anyone else feel that the muslims who choose to miscontrue the Pope's comments have simply served to illustrate his point?

Are there any muslims out there who are embarrassed by this reaction?

PS I'm not meaning any offence by this - I am simply curious as to how the community feels

Absolutely....I agree whole-heartedly.

I hope, for the sake of the world, there are Muslims offended and embarrassed by the response of their fellow Muslims.

Seems like its the Muslims over reacting yet again, they are becoming boring now with their moaning and whinging.
They are a pathetic race of people who really need to take a look at themselves. If they don't agree with something then their only answer is violence. Cant understand why America just doesn't nuke the bastards

I'm glad someone is thinking the same as me. I love how the BBC blow it all out of proportion. If you want to prove someone wrong, burning effigies of the pope is not the way to go about it.

It is the rage of Caliban at seeing his own face in the mirror.

The truth always hurts!!

The Pope lives in Europe and enjoys freedom of speech. Perhaps muslims find freedom of speech offensive.

Stop the funding for religious sect schools and teach anger management...these religious people are not in control of their anger or their emotions it is the religion that makes them this way...it is what makes them so easily manipulated stirred up and dangerous.

Religion is the problem not the answer.

(I'm referring to no specific religion here but all of them.)

If you stand on a platform, and quote Hitler saying something awful about Jewish people, you will upset some Jewish people. Why couldn't he have just kept his yap shut, and said something non-committal, about how it would be wonderful if we could all just get on with each other?
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

He's an idiot. But then, he's also ex Hitler-Youth.

He has Foot and Mouth disease.

Open Mouth, insert Foot.
