like an ostrich they would rather bury their heads in the sand than face what is real and still deny it when it kicks them in the posterior.also their religion has been telling that those things are of SATAN rather than GOD.And not to get involved in them least they loose their souls to evil.

two simple phrases...

plausible deniability
-and-
mass hysteria

believing in something and having scientific proof are two different animals.

Do you believe the sky is blue? Is there scientific proof the sky is blue? (and no I'm not asking the philosophical question)

now change the color blue to green...

Do you believe the sky is green? Is there scientific proof the sky is green?

a person might easily believe in anything they wish to fancy their mind around, but having proof, and enough proof that the scientific community would take the time to consider and conduct their own research to come to the same conclusion totally changes it all.

things like spirits, astral travel and past lives are not something that you can easily take photographs of, videotape, or provide clinical research to validate your findings...it is ALL theoretical study, much like the idea of the atom and DNA, UNTIL powerful microscopes were created to finally see the evidence of the claim and end the debate in conclusion. Now the atom and DNA is accepted as scientific fact because it has been seen.

Because people have a propensity to misunderstand or misinterpret natural phenomenon and call it these things. Also because there is not one shred of testable evidence that says they are true.

We also know that people tell lies, and people seek attention. Which would be more likely? The laws of nature aren't as we see them or a person has told a lie?

Also, people just want to believe these things are true. For instance when crop circles started happening, the people who was behind the hoax came out and said they were and even showed how it was done. There was still people out there that didn't believe them and still attributed them to alien space ships.

I don't deny them as you have stated in your question. I don't believe they happen, because so far in all my years i have never seen anything defy the laws of nature. These are extraordinary claims that you have mentioned.

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." [Carl Sagan]

Experience teaches us that some things that are unbelievable to others...has it's place in reality.

It's no different than what the "blind faith", people will tell you. It is the only experience they have known and they have not experienced the things that you have.

I have an open mind and through life experiences, I have realized that there is more to this life that "I don't know", than "I do know"

Good question!

No, and science dis-proves these things too. I don't believe in Santa Claus as it was created by man. I don't believe in Tinker Bell as it was created by man. I don't believe in ghosts as they are created by man. I don't believe in God as it seems more logical that man would have created God as well as the previous things. Figments of our immagination. Education is the key to understanding things and ignorance is bliss.

How can you people that have accepted the creation theory believe it? No one has ever experienced it either. God isn't producing little babies in hospitals..... that's mankind that is creating babies. God isn't stopping global warming, hurricanes, disasters, tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, fires, etc etc. When I have proof that he stops a world disaster that takes out millions of innocent "theists" I will probably believe.

Absence of proof is not proof of absence !
It is just that those who have not deepened their perception levels beyond sense organs, conclude that their perception is the ultimate possible level, and hence say "it does not exist" !

Some people are just closed-minded in order to protect their fragile egos.
