The pope quoted a writer that wrote about a person in the 1500's that said Muhammad spread the word of evil. But now the islamic community is rioting. Don't they see that the fury against the pope proves his point? I'm an Atheist, so I think the pope is full of shiat, but the fact that the islamics are rioting against him just proves his point...

Wow, the pro islam answer from CONSCIOUS actually goes to help show how violent islam is... Sad that humanity is in dire risk of an imaginary being.

I just had a thought...the news keeps reporting about mass rioting and protests happening in Muslim countries all over the world.... but when you look at the countries that have had these "protests" against what the Pope said, I wonder: Do most of these people even know how to read? I mean, the literacy rate is so low and public education almost nonexistent, so what made them decide to get up and go protest if they probably didnt even bother or couldn't read his speech? Just a thought.

Well, if the pope was so right, why did he say he regretted making such a statement? He is just an ignorant man who knows absolutely nothing about Islam or our Prophet (pbuh). Just proves that since he has no other way of promoting Christianity, he rather bad mouth Islam.
And your question about Muslims rioting, we have absolute right to defend our religion. As simple as that.

Sara, be careful about what you assert. words have nuances that usually get away to human beings. The pope did not say he change into DEEPLY SORRY about HIS comments ON ISLAM (also because he had no comments on Islam on that topic...as what he pronounced and brought about such an excellent number of problems is an extract of a previous due center age record in which an emperor - Manuel the Paleologist - discusses with a muslim chief telling him Islam did not deliver any powerful ingredient on the international for non muslims and the muslims had the habit to spread their faith through the sword quite than through the peace, it really is an historic reality drastically proved for that categorical historic era). What he surely stated on television (stay in Italy, the position i stay) change into that he change into DEEPLY SORRY to note HOW HIS words OF PEACE AND communicate were DEEPLY MISUNDERSTOOD through some MEDIA AND through ISLAMISTS. to operate on something you should understand adult men of church communicate in a particular jargon, which could each and every each and every now and then be very sublte so that you opt to verify between the strains. And the message for this reason change into that WHOEVER APPLIES VIOLENCE to get to his aims isn't A BELIEVER (Be it catholic, muslim, indu or something else)

Muhammad spread the word of kindness... the truth... even the non-muslim won't deny it.... and the muslims riot...because they want to tell the sarcastic human what the truth is....... one more thing, we considered the peoples whom being attacked is the victims right? so, israel is the attacker... one more fact.. they used to kill so many people.... can we called them s the victims????

The Pope has no reason to apologize, he quoted a 14th century emperor and it was taken out of context. I know of no other religion in recent history that has been as militant, radical, and terroristic as the Islamic radicals. Almost all terrorist acts have been in the name of Islam, all beheadings, suicide bombing, and torture has been in the name of Islam. The rest of the world should demand an apology from the Islamic clerics, and a pledge for them to stop the senseless violence done by these so called true believers.

Your argument confuses cause and effect. It reminds me of those finding proof of jews' moral inferiority by pointing to jewish Kapos in concentrations camps.
The pope is a learned man and a moral leader for millions. You can't tell me that he was not aware of what he said and what the consequences would be. I am neither muslim nor christian but would expect of someone his stature and impact a bit more differentiation. It makes me wonder what his agenda is, making such sweeping generalizations.
Seems to me, if you quote someone and then do not expound or critique that person's statement, you are endorsing him.
What scares me, is the seemingly undivided support of his speech from a wide spectrum of people.
Sort of reinforces the old idea that religion is opium for the people.

Yep, sure it correct!
It proves him right.
When they get angry they fly planes into buildings.
They push boats into boats and blow themselves up.
There are lessons to be learned here.
The President of Iran can say Hitler killed no Jews, yet there are American and Russians who saw what Hilter had been doing and they have no allegiences to Jews.
No one gives a hoot when the President of Iran says this!
The Pope quotes and look what happens.
Demark published a few stupid and not even funny cartoons and look what happens.
There are things to remember here. The Pope, Denmark and United Flight 93 and how the Passengers TOOK the plane over and away from the terrorists.
EVERYONE needs to remember these 3 things.

Soon or latter, ONE DAY the Pope this or another Pope will die in the hands of Jihadists. No doubt. They tried once, and Al-Qaeda planned to assasinate former Pope, and now that he interfered with Jihadi business, HE NEEDS to change his bullet proof glass go car to platnum suicide bomber proof.

It does prove his point but it also proves my point that both Catholics and Muslims are out of control...
Pope goads Muslims and Muslims react violently, Pope goads gays but gays simply express their anger peaceably and continue life as usual.
Religion is dangerous and divisive, religion is violent, religion is the problem.
