Fifty percent of those who graduated high school say evolution should be taught, while 75 percent with college degrees believe it should. The chasm widens when comparing those with a grade-school education — 39 percent support the teaching of evolution — to those with post-college graduate degrees — 86 percent.

"But soft tissue, flexible blood vessels, red blood cells and hemoglobin are not going to last 65 million years. They won't last a million years. They won't last a thousand years."
So, let me get this straight. Tyrannosaurus Rex lived LESS than 1,000 years ago? So, why didn't Jesus mention them?
LMAO!

Hovind attributes this: “Evolution is a fairy tale for grown-ups. This theory has helped nothing in the progress of science. It is useless.” to Professor Louis Bounoure, supposedly the former president of the Biological Society of 'Strasbourg'. A creationist web site actually gives a reference: The Advocate, March 8, 1984, p. 17
* E.T. Babinski actually contacted French authorities. They revealed that Louis Bounoure never served as Director or even a member of the CNRS. He was a professor of biology at the University of Strasbourg.
The beginning of the quotation, "Evolution is a fairy tale for adults" is not from Bounoure but adapted from Jean Rostand, a member of the Academy of Sciences of the French Academy. Rostand also wrote that "Transformism may be considered as accepted, and no scientist, no philosopher, no longer discusses the fact of evolution." *

Obviously it is not coincidence but it doesn't necessarily mean the implied correlation. It could be that those who are predisposed to secular faith place higher value in education and so those types are more likely to get master's degrees. In fact I'm sure this is true, without needing a scientific study to validate it. And when you take the stereotype of post-grad educated teachers--in their "ivory towers" with their "heads in the clouds," one could realistically ack how socially valuable this secular philosophy is. How many great teachers or professors have there been (aside from Nobel Laureates for whom teaching was secondary to research)? I am agnostic, BTW, but I don't think this correlation proves much beyond what we already know: namely that creationists survive by faith, which is not something that needs a lot of learning.

The research has been clear for decades. Education does something to a person's brain.
I just loved the first response to your question by Holy Bush. It doesn't take much imagination to know the extent of his education.
You realize of course that you and the Journal are tools of the devil and you are persecuting Christians.
Scientists have never started a war over one of their theories nor have they ever persecuted a non believer. They have just illumined the darkness and enabled the creation of MP3 players.
I wonder what Holy Bush has done to make the lives of God's children better.
You have gotten amazing responses.
Let's try something, lets ask respondents to state education.

I think that the more education one receives, the more analytical that person becomes. That being the case, it would make sense that the more educated one becomes, the more likely it would be that they would believe in evolution.
Regardless of whether one believes in creationism or evolution, it cannot be disputed that all species evolve in one manner or another to fit in with their environment.

It’s funny (actually quite sad and tragic) how people think a theory is a fact as long as they think they can keep their darkness from being seen in the light.

Public schools are a program of indoctrination in evolution. If you've been brainwashed since you were knee-high to a grasshopper to believe something, is it any wonder that you believe it no matter what it is? Hitler said if you tell a lie loud enough and long enough, people will believe it no matter how ridiculous it is. Evolution is a lie that's been told long and loud. A good example is what happen in Montana recently. They found some dinosaur bones way out in the wilderness of montana. Since there was no roads out there to truck them out they tried to put them on a helicopter but they were too big for the helicopter. So they did something they never do with dinosaur bones....they cut them up so they would fit on the helicopter. When they did that and brought them to a lab and looked at them under a microscope they got the shock of their life. They found soft tissue, blood vessels that were still flexible, hemoglobin, red blood cells among other things. They brought in a world renown medical-paleontologists. This woman is a medical doctor as well as a paleontologists. As a medical doctor, she knows what blood cells, blood vessels and hemoglobin look like. As a paleontologists she knows what dinosaur bones look like. Dinasoars, according to evolution, are supposed to have lived 65 million years ago. But soft tissue, flexible blood vessels, red blood cells and hemoglobin are not going to last 65 million years. They won't last a million years. They won't last a thousand years. She's an expert in both fields. You would think she would have said "I know the theory says that dinosaurs lived 65million years ago but the theory must be wrong in this case". It's obvious that this dinosaur didn't live that long ago. But she just couldn't go against the theory. Evolution was right regardless of what she was seeing with her own eyes. If you have to choose between what your very senses(hearing, seeing, smell, touch, taste) including your common sense and even your educational training are telling you and the theory of evolution........choose evolution. You say that 86% of people with post graduate degrees believe in evolution. About 98% of that 86% don't know a thing about evolution. Take every Doctorate in computer science in the world and ask them what a living fossil is and 99% won't have a clue. In the public school, evolution is taught like a religion. The students are not allowed to hear the other side. A teacher can lose his job if he even presents the weak points of evolution. He certainly cannot show the massive evidence against evolution including the information in the DNA nor can he even present evolution in an unfavorable way. You say that the evidence shows that the higher your education the more you're going to believe in evolution. SURPRISE,SURPRISE. That's to be expected. The higher your education, the longer you've been in school. Since evolution is the only theory allowed, the longer you've been in school the longer you've been brainwashed and therefore the higher probability you will believe in it.
You need to re-think your views about evolution. Your body has enough information to fill books (the size of encyclopedia books)
stacked from here to the moon and back 500 times. DNA is a language. It has letters. The letters combine to form words. The words combine to form sentences and when they are all put together they form meaningful information that the body uses. A man and a woman have sex. The sperm combines with the egg. You now have your 1st cell. That cell divides and you have 2 cells. It divides again and then you have 4...and then 8...and then 16,32,64, 128, 256 and eventually you have a small embryo consisting of millions of cells. At that point those cells are undifferentiated. But they are not going to stay undifferentiated. Some are going to become brain cells, some skin cells, some kidney cells, some heart cells and on and on. How does each cell know what to become? It knows because inside of every cell there is an instruction booklet called the DNA which not only tells it what to become but how to become it.
Suppose, when we landed on the moon in 1969, the astronauts found a moon buggy just sitting there. Most people would say that there must be other life out in the universe. How else would that moon buggy get there? Some hard core evolutionists might say "well, if you break down the moon buggy to its basic elements, its basically just matter and molecules in motion just like the moon rocks........if the moon rocks could evolve why couldn't the moon buggy"? Not too many people would agree with that assesment. But let's just suppose that underneath the seat they found an instruction booklet. There might be one nutty evolutionists who might say, "well, again, the instruction booklet is just like the moon rocks if we get down to the basics....just matter and molecules in motion.....If the moon rocks could evolve, the instruction booklet could evolve? Very, very few people would agree with that assesment. But even if you could bring yourself to believe that the paper and ink are just matter and molecules in motion and could evolve what about the way the ink is formed into symbols(namely letters) that spell out words that have meaning that told you how to change the tires and batteries and how to change your oil and so on and so on. You'd have to be a nutbag to believe that those symbols came about just by random chance evolution. Those symbols are not matter and molecules in motion. They're information. Information does not come about by random chance. Your body is a zillion times more complex than any moon buggy and has a zillion times more info. It's instruction booklet is a zillion times more compacted with info than any instruction booklet for any moonbuggy or car or aircraft carrier.
What we see in our everyday existence is that life always comes from already existing life. It never comes from dead chemicals. Evolution is a dead theory. This charade will not go on. The intelligent design crowd is making inroads everywhere. The evolutionists are kicking and screaming about it but it's a waste of time. Like I said, evolution is dead. It died in 1962 when Crick and Watson discovered that there was information in the genes. To quote Dr. Louis Bounoure, Director of the Zoological Museum and Director of Research at the National Center of Scientific Research in France,"evolution is a fairy tale for adults".
