my husband eats soup nearly every morning for breakfast. as long as you eat something somewhat healthy, it's not really so important what you eat but rather that you eat breakfast every morning. it's the most important meal of the day.

Baked beans, and some fruit

Instructions:
Baked Beans;
Open the can of baked beans and pour into a ovenproof bowl, cover and microwave for 3-4 minutes on high (stir halfway through cooking)
Apple;
wash the apple under running water, then cut three times through the core axis so as to make six segments

write it down, it is a good recipe

Grilled cheese with ham (or bacon) sandwich!

Actually any type of favorite sandwich is a great breakfast, nutritious and easy to prepare!

Also you can make your own fruit salad: chop up some apple, pear, mango, pinapple add a little orange juice. (Fruit really helps get the old metabolism humming in the AM.....)

Cut a good slab of bread (not loaf it's too soft, but rather french baguette type bread).
Take a good sized tomato, and "squish" it on the bread (throw away the outer part...drizzle a little virgin olive oil on it, salt it and eat it as is...
or add a slice of serrano ham or prosciutto (parma ham)
or...a small tin of tuna in oil (mash it with the oil then spread over the tomato on the bread)
This is a typical breakfast in Catalonia, (Barcelona) Spain...They call it "pan tumaca".
Have a glass of fresh fruit juice with it and you've covered your needs for vitamins & energy for the morning!
Bon appetit!

Quick to prepare....

Have a Continental Breakfast:

Grab real juice, a piece of fresh fruit, cheese of any type, and a big muffin [corn, blueberry, banana with walnuts, etc.], or an English muffin, or real whole wheat bread/toast.

This will give you everything you need and real quick, to start off your day......Don't forget a multi-vitamin and...Bon appetit!

Dinner leftovers are a quick heat and eat, and some are even better cold. Also, foods like raw fruits and vegetables have zero prep time and can be eaten on the go if you really have no time.

hmmmmm.... don't drink tea, because it's bad to have on an empty stomach. How about some cottage cheese at the commisary??? Add some jam, steer and eat. Or, bread with jam? If these don't work, contact a dietician-he will help!!!

Meal replacement shakes containing protein powders are a good substitute. Often I don't like to eat much early in the day, and fruit, muffins, or other light foods can satisfy your hunger without weighing you down.
