I like 'One' or Eukanaba.

"I wish you lots of fun with your dog. He will enjoy being trained and getting all that attention!"

Thanks I know I will!

Your puppy is so lucky that you want to feed him the very best.
I have been breeding purebred dogs for the past 38 years. Two 1/2 years ago, I began feeding Canidae.
I have tried all the major premium brands of kibble, but since feeding Canidae, I would never want to feed anything else. My old dogs became younger, my pups grew better than ever, and the in between are robust with good health. My dog's teeth don't need cleaned, and they have Sweet breath.
Take a look at the ALL HUMAN GRADE ingredients, and notice on the link below, that ALL users have been happy with it.
Ingredient list:
Chicken Meal, Turkey Meal, Brown Rice, White Rice, Lamb Meal, Chicken Fat (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols), Herring Meal, Flax Seed, Sun Cured Alfalfa Meal, Sunflower Oil, Chicken, Lecithin, Monocalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Linoleic Acid, Rosemary Extract

Guaranteed Analysis
Crude Protein (min.) 24.00%
Crude Fat (min.) 14.50%

You won't find those quality ingredients on any of the kibbles above.http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/showproduct.php/product/528

Canidae may cost more per bag, but is a 23% savings per monthly cost, over Eukenuba, as my large dogs eat less and waste(poop) less.
It is available in most good pet supply shops.

However, if there is no Canidae in your town, Innova, Soliid Gold, Wellness, Natural Balance, and Wysong are all excellent kibbles.

With A Dog Sounding Like That, Shouldn't Go Wrong With Just Some "Purina Puppy Chow", or "Eukanuba Puppy Food"

Purina is always a good choice, most people use it and its pretty good for there coats, the second one i woudl go with is iams, not as good but alright, and as it goes for your tricks id say join 4-h and train your dog in agility its crazy what some of those dogs can do i know i could only hope that my dog would one day do any of those things, but if your not into that whole thing, then i would say just try to bait him which means if he does something you like or something that is right you give him a treat everytime, but the only thing is that they get dependent on the treats and expect one every time.

The new thought now is with large breed dogs that you are better feeding the puppy dog food as the puppy food can contain a lot of fat and too much protein and so cause the dog to grow too fast. I fed my Airedale dog food from day one and she grew up fine. I would suggest talking to your vet and seek their opinion.

Its hard without knowing the breed. Talk to a vet is the best bet. If you dont, try something like puppy chow or somthing with soft food in it...besides the puppy cant handle hard food right away...its just like a human baby!

I would get either Eukanuba or Iams. Especially make sure that you get the puppy formula. Sometimes, pending on how little they are, and the breeder that you get them from, they may not be ready for hard food yet, I would still suggest that you get the puppy food that I listed above, and then just get it wet, and mushy, so it is easier for him to eat if he is not ready, but he is still getting the nutrition. Good Luck!

Look into Innova, California Natural, Wellness, Artemis, and Canidae. They are currently the best on the market. They all have websites, look them up.
Purina, Iams and Science Diet are poison. Read "Foods Pets Die For" by Ann N. Martin for all the gruesome details if you don't believe me.

I would get premium puppy food from say Nutro or Blue if you can afford it. They are supposed to be some of the best out there. You can get those from any pet type supermarket such as petsmart.
