The fact is i never do much of weight training ,only once in a week mot more than 20 mins Most of my work out is cardio...Why is my weight not decreasing.?Is it that we lose fat first and then weight.

Even though you are not doing much weight training, you are still, and therefore you are gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat. Also, often poeples weight fluxuates when they first start working out, they say you should wait for a month maybe two before checking your weight to see if you've lost any.

Muscle weighs more than fat. Muscle is not only gained through weight training,cardio is the quickest way to lose fat but gain muscle.

It is true that muscle weight more than fat. So as your build muscle you might actually weight more than you used to.

Another thing you should pay attention to while working out is your heart rate. Although you may burn more calories while working out in high intensity, you actually burn more fat while working in lower intensity.

u gained muscle. and muscle weighs more than fat.
