God can...

the fact that you are agnostic means
that God has the same chance
of convincing you and
not convincing you that He exists

the fact that you have not totally
given up on the idea that there is a God
stil gives Him that 50-50 chance

the fact that you still have time to
ask, seek, research, compare evidences and be
open minded about every opportunity to
believe or not believe
proves God has that equal chance

and thats all He needs...

You know I really think this one is up to you. I am also in a very similar situation but my situation is that I am getting tired of people selling their religion to me. If I find religion it will be on my own time and my way. I have really been disheartenen in some of the people that have set out on a mission to "save" me. What really bothers me is the judgement I have recieved when I don't dish out or shove my beliefs or undecided beliefs on others. So maybe this isn't a real answer I just know that only you know you and only you know the person you want to be and whether you want or don't want religion in your life. Perhaps we will always be on the fence about it. Then again what is wrong with that.

Ya know that feeling that you get every once in a while when you feel happy and at peace with everything around you? It doesn't happen often but does every so often? It could be when you feel connected to someone and don't why. It could be when you hold a tiny defensless animal. It could be when you are surrounded by beautiful nature or a sea of people in a city. If you don't know what I mean, go lay in the grass in the middle of the night. Look up at the stars. Does it make sense that everything around us just "happened" without being created, having an origin, having a purpose?

Although atheist and some agnostics will argue that there is no scientific evidence that there is a God, they can easily dismiss it as a waste of time, but a true man of science will keep his options open. How can a fish prove that there is life outside the fishbowl when the fish has been living inside the bowl all its life? You'll need faith to believe that there is a higher being outside the bowl.

Yes, I can. If you let me do anything at all, it is easy.
First, I put you in a vacuum chamber and I ask you if you believe. If you say no, then we shut the door and start creating a vacuum. Of course you will not be able to breathe but that's part of the treatment because "If you can control their breathing, you can get them to do anything." Then after you pass out, we let you breathe again and we ask you again. If you say no, we do it again. We do it over and over while withholding food and water, opportunities for going to the bathroom except in your pants, no light, no sleep, no bodily movement. You get the picture. After we get done with you, you'll believe. You'll believe anything we tell you and will probably erect an alter to Saint Easter Bunny and offer your youngest child as a sacrifice.
Yeah, we can make you believe.
Isn't that the way everyone learns to believe?

The Lord Jesus Christ answered a question just like that and His answer was 'Blessed is he who has not seen yet still believes.'

That quote is the entire baseline for the idea of faith. The Bible is the Word of God, His teachings alive.

The concept of compassion. The concept that we all have free will and not some enslaved animal. God made us in His image. We have the greatest gift beyond life and love and that free will, aka choice. You can CHOOSE the read this. You can CHOOSE to own a pet. Can a dog do that? Can a cat do that?

The Lord Jesus Christ died for everyone's sins. When God created the world, he wanted us to be perfect, to enjoy a perfect life. When Sin entered this world, so did death. Jesus died so that all of your sins are forgiven. Wiped away. Clean as a white shirt.

Do you wake up and every fell happy? Every choose to feel sad? Everr felt like you could have been in love, or loved another? Those are God's gifts for us. For you.

Strictly speaking, I am too. I can't believe in God unless I have direct, incontrovertible proof.

I can tell you that at the spiritual heights, however, belief is not enough. Only direct experience and knowledge will suffice.

"The truth will set you free" is a great teaching. Hang on to it dearly. Do this for a decade and see what you believe then.

Like vegans, vegetarians, etc., you need to know what you ARE. Agnostics are not NON-believers dear heart...they believe NOT to believe in anything totally. Perhaps you are an 'atheist' (non-believer).
Convince you to believe? Sure. Give birth to and hold your first child in your arms and count his fingers and toes and watch his little mouth 'root' for a nipple of milk. You'll believe in some higher power then! Call it what you will...I don't believe 'it' has a name, or has a gender, but there IS a higher-power. I saw
it" in my babies.

Just be yourself. I like it all. What do you want to believe in? I believe in science, the big bang and string theory and I don't think it keeps me from the belief in a higher power. You're just an observer so don't get too caught up in anything cause it will hinder your ability to just be and observe.

No. Agnostics are driven by facts, but Believers walk by faith not fact. You'd have to experience something unexplainable in your life that draws you to the conclusion that not all things are logical. I think faith is a gift and I'm envious of people who have it.
