I do not know much about either except that both seem to respect nature and the natural order of things. Could you tell me some of the major differences? I honestly am curious.

Because Wiccans equate their religion with Paganism. So-called "Neoapagn" groups don't have a direct connection to the various Pagan religions of Europe in the past. According to Oxford history Professor Ronald Hutton, Paganism had been abandoned by Europe by the 12th Century even in the most remote parts of Europe.
While Neopagans distinct themselves from Wicca, their beliefs and practices are very similar. The exception would be Odinism, which is more focused on Neonazism than being an actual religion.
Some ancient Pagan religions that are still around include Hinduism, Shintoism and some Native American religions, which have no connections to the more recent inventions of Wiccan and Neopaganism.

as both are nature based religions there is little difference between them. Pagans are mentioned in the Jewish religion with a set of rules to follow if they have to stay in or on a pagans land or home for the night.
now I'll get in trouble maybe. Wiccans are modern day Pagans.Trying to rebuild the religion as it once was while avoiding the connotations that have come from the christian church about what they stand for and who they worship.

I suppose it's ignorance. How about a little more ignorance.
Is there an official Wiccan Bible that the Pope of Wicca endorses as the true word of Wicca. Or is it a deal where everyone can make up their own thing around a central theme of hugging trees and sex orgies in the spring. Just kidding. What kind of random stuff were you looking for? Something, wow dude, I just love those hot wiccan babes who dress in black at my high school.

Actually, wicca is a form of paganism. I agree though that while all wiccans are pagans, not all pagans are wiccan - I'm pagan, but I'm not wiccan.
Most people just don't like to think about it, they'd rather just toss us all in a lump together as "not Christian/Jewish/Moslem/Buddhist" and forget about it.

all wiccans are pagans, however not all pagans are wiccan. thats the simple truth, however native americans are pagans, buddahists, shinto, hindu and a multitude of other religions that never knew about the bible or who viewed the bible as new fangled foolishness.Follow the Rede and you are fine. Blessed Be to you and all. wishing you much joy upon Mabon.

see the "jesus" answer(s) above. that's why.
people generalize. it's like a philosophical self-defense mechanism. it's easier to categorize something in broad strokes and move on to the next thing than it is to try to understand something in any kind of detail. god forbid, one might even find oneself interested and involved in something one once knew nothing about!
i'm neither wiccan or pagan, but i believe deeply in the rights of both, and in the right of every other faith, to worship their own way (short of doing harm to people or planet, of course).

I think that you are pre-judging the opinions held by others. ... who can *really* say what other people think?
some pagans are enlightened, some are not
same is probably true for other 'ethos-holders' as well
peace,
