Well, first not all muslims are violent. Second the person who said he was glad to be a non catholic christian is obviously not that educated about modern christianity. Muslim extremists are violent and deserve whatever the pope said, they are monsters I know this first hand. No it's not a bit contradictory, they would want to kill the pope anyway, after all he is an infidel in the eyes of the muslim extremists. People need to learn to understand what they read and even though some muslims are violent not all are. I have fought in the middle east and know that for a fact.

The derogatory remarks of the Pope about the philosophy of jihad and Prophet Mohammed have injured sentiments across the Muslim world and pose the danger of spreading acrimony among the religions
The remarks do not express correct understanding of Islam and are merely wrong and distorted beliefs being repeated in the West.
I am really astonished that such remarks come from someone who sits on top of the Catholic church which has its influence on the public opinion in the West
Muslims have the right to be angry and hurt by these comments from the highest cleric in Christianity

Well this person is happy to not be a catholic, and as the pope has "insulted" Muslims its just simple - one of them might try to kill him (by him I mean the pope).
