I don't vote for or against candidates depending on their religion. Religion (or the lack of religion) should be kept private. I vote for those whose views are similar to my own and whose record backs up their stated views. Issues are the most important thing to me but I also consider experience, ability to get things accomplished and business ethics. Does anyone really think people should vote based solely upon the candidate's personal religious views?

Look if religion is what u vote on fine, but I am against anyone who will use their religion to decide the direction of the country. Pagan or Christian. Though I will vote for an openly Pagan canidate if I agree with what they stand for, and if they will actually go through with it.

24 y.o. Pagan

This is a great question because it highlights how wrong it is to choose a politician for their religon...religion should be kept personal and out of politics and the law should enforce a secular unbiassed approach ...stepping in when a politician clearly is manifesting too much religion in the public sphere.

A secular Christian, a secular Pagan, a secular Atheist...the important thing is a secular approach in Government when representing people of all beliefs and world-views.

How about an agnostic scientist whose mandate is to form a more perfect union for the people, of the people and by the people. Scientists and engineers have created MP3 players, why not an improved nation.
