well all the history I've read about Islam ..the islam forced to many christians in the past changed their religions in special case when Jerusalem was taken(before crusaders) and now I was reading sometimes they destroyed churches and became them as mosques.. and now in the news they attacked some churches in the middle east .. if the muslims insulted jesus or burn a bible? we will be angry like them? why some verses in the Koran talks about violence againts the non-muslims?

The Pope has no reason to apologize, he quoted a 14th century emperor and it was taken out of context. I know of no other religion in recent history that has been as militant, radical, and terroristic as the Islamic radicals. Almost all terrorist acts have been in the name of Islam, all beheadings, suicide bombing, and torture has been in the name of Islam. The rest of the world should demand an apology from the Islamic clerics, and a pledge for them to stop the senseless violence done by these so called true believers.

The following was provided by another member in response to a similar question, it seems to reinforce the propensity toward violence.

But it's also a sad fact of History that Christians were not much better.

On the way to the Middle East Christian Crusaders wiped out cities of Jews.

This new World War this is brewing, should not be about Christians against Islam, but about a World United that they want NO ONE WAY.

we would never kill for any purpose, nor harm any soul
do u know that in killing animals, we are restricted to how and why we kill

we cannot eat pork, for example bacause it has in its system loads of waste that harms our bodies
in killing other animals, in order to execute as little pain as possible we are only allowed to cut from the neck, so it is a fast and painless death
this is also the best way to take all the blood out

we hear the muslims used the bible as toilet paper and often burn them but if the hear anone desecrates the quran they start a riat or burn building even the rummer is enough to course murder in pakistam churches homes a school all becouse a muslim said a christian had said he would burn a quran. the koran says violence is OK if opressed or attacked. Keep reading history you will find that christians also have been violent for the wrong reasons. The Pope quoted someone else from the 14th century still it was an inflamitory remark to make when he knew these people think they are victims.

That has happened under Islam. However, it is also the case that Christians forced Muslims to convert such as in Spain under the Spanish inquisition.

the pope did say the truth.....the muslims are hateful and evil and lie about what their book says...and I would like to know why people say this was not the time for the Pope to speak out....I think it was a good time...there are many who have been lied to by the muslims and deceived as to who they are and what they stand for and there is nothing wrong with the pope speaking out the truth.....why are we to coddle them.....no way....why treat them like Innocent little children and walk on pins and needles with them when they will slit your throat and not think twice about it.....we need to be wise and speak out the truth at all costs.....don't fall for their lies....

Its very harmful to just take a few quotes for a religious text and think it relates to a whole religion. Try to read it whole thing, acknowledge it and then ask questions.


Unfortunately they are teaching people to hate Muslims and Islam in CHURCHES now!!!!
