Could you help me understand reading English?

Question

Hi. I am interpreting a novel but so many barriers are blocking me not go go forward. I need your help.

It was dark outside when I left the office. Reflections of brightly-lit storefronts shimmered upon the frosted sidewalks, as if in stirring water. I was in that state of excitement where I am put by marks of esteem. It seemd to me that I no longer had naything to blame on anyone. I was imagining to myself that we all shared a consciousness of having been in the wrong , and that we were better people for it.

I can't understand from 3rd sentence to the rest. I really need your help. I mean it. If you don't mind, could you interpret them sentence by sentence for me?

A) He/She had just left work. The sun was down, the moon had replaced it in the sky = nighttime.

A) The electric lights within a store window or from an overhead sign of a store, reflected on the iced over sidewalks, or the sidewalks had frost on them.
A) As if in stirring water = Water that is slowly agitated, or moving. Such as; when you toss a stone upon it, or a fish jumps out of it, or you may use your finger, and stir the water a bit. When these things are done, the water like, waves and shimmers, "it stirs".

Q) I was in that state of excitement where I am put by marks of esteem.
A) Being happy, is pleased with his/her accomplishments, and life.

Q) It seemed to me that I no longer had anything to blame on anyone.
A) Life is so simple, we can be whoever and whatever we want, as long as we do our best.
A) Life is a progression of trial and errors, there is no one to blame.

Q) I was imagining to myself that we all shared a consciousness of having been in the wrong, and that we were better people for it.
A) We will all, make mistakes, in doing so we learn from them.

"I was imagining to myself that we all shared a consciousness...": Western people have minimal social conscience. They follow individualism. They do not care about how people in a society are connected. They are unaware that they are all connected and have a group mind, or, consciousness, a social collective heart. Christian-Judeo culture teaches people that conscience comes from "God's Word", and, that mankind is not capable of goodness without "God's Word". When those people experience group conscience, they are shocked and changed when they learn that we are actually very connected and that we are fundamentally good and can sense right and wrong on our own.

"...of having been in the wrong, and that we were better people for it.": When the mob or rabble swells with emotions and exaggerates the proportions of an issue, it eventually deflates and more realistic proportions re-appear. By comparing unrealistic proportions against real proportions, the group can learn about what is really real and what is really important.

Poor knie... I think you're in trouble as an INTERPRETER.... I just answered your prior question....

This novel is WAY too difficult for you to interprete...
It uses a very high level of the English language..., and just being bilingual is not enough here....

You may know English... and even very well, but when a writter WANTS to use SUMMUM of his own language, you also HAVE TOO KNOW the summun yourself..., or refuse the assignment.... or give it to another interpreter that knows more than you and pay HIM for it....

Better let it go then to translate wrongfully....

But it doesn't mean that you cannot translate AVERAGE English books, etc...

Like anything else... Some people have 60% in their own first language while others have 95%....

Trying to translate a very high level of any language requires often a fully bilingual lifetime in these languages...

We cannot translate the book for you unfortunately...

Sorry, but get assistance from one of your Universities or as I said , simply fin another interprete....

It seemed to me that I no longer had anything to blame on anyone.......I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS NO ONE'S FAULT
I was imagining myself that we all share a consciousness of having been in the wrong...I IMAGINED THAT WE ALL FELT THAT WE WERE WRONG (GUILTY)...BUT THAT THE FACT OF THAT HAD MADE US BETTER PEOPLE.
whatever book you're reading has a high level of comprehension...I don't doubt that many of the people on Yahoo Answers would truthfully be able to do much better than you are...this is sophisticated language...

wow, judging by the way you typed your question w/ good punctuation and grammar and all, you should be able to interpret the book on your own too. Just my opinion....
