Please if you've done the surgery.. i want to know what happens... what they do... how long it takes to recover.. ummm do u go back to normal after it?
i heard they stick 2 metal rods?? do they take them out after a while?

im turning 16 in a month..
they dont take the metal rods out?

this surgery is best for younger people, I hope you are not too old if you are considering this. They do put metal rods in the spine to correct the curvature and no, they do not get removed they are left in. You have to wear a brace after the surgery for at least 2 months. My coworkers 13 year old daughter had the surgery, she was only in the hospital for 4 days and she did awesome. She didn't have much pain either. Good luck.

My friend had that done and they put rods down her back. She was in SO much freaking pain and was down for a quite a while. Even years later she was still not straight. I'm not sure if they take them out or not, that was quite a few years ago. I would definately have get a 2nd AND a 3rd opinion before opting for something like this. Good luck to ya.

I had a 40 3 degree curve and when I had surgical technique I have been given approximately 3/4 inch taller, she shouldn't get better than an inch taller, so do no longer worry approximately it. i desire her surgical technique is going properly
