I am a guest at someones house, and I have some of my crown, and coke here. I however do not have ice.

Should I take the chance of waking the host of the home while getting ice for my drink, or should I drink crown and coke at room temperature?

Hmmm,

Let's see... Mix a twenty year old Scotch blend with crappy coke...

Dump the coke and drink the crown straight!

The crown will thank you later!

Are you sure you are a house guest and not a 13 year old trying to drink without getting in trouble with your parents?

All of those are first rate selections, yet I certainly one of my well-known beverages of all time is Barcardi (sparkling) and coke. subsequently, Jack and Coke would be 2nd and Crown and Coke would be third.

be very, quiet get the cubes one at time and drop them in slowly, be gentle when opening freezer, believe me I've tried this before, and it's possible to get ice without waking any one! Don't make yourself drink it hot!!

Just put the empty glass into the freezer for a few minutes before you mix the drink. Much quieter than getting ice. :-D

I myself would prefer the whiskey straight-but I'd like to point out to jpr that Crown is not scotch but a blended Canadian corn/rye whiskey, and to fathead that not all who drink are alcoholics.

maybe you should worry about other things, like why you are worried about drinking at 4 in the morining while everyone else is sleeping.

Sometimes you must drink it at room temperature and tough it out.
