Christian couple. Should it be a little more frivolous than a wedding gift? I will be grateful for any suggestions.

The engagement gift I think should be something neat, like cool photo frames for pic of them together. The wedding gift would be something really cool or something they will really need together, like a mini margarita machine, silk sheets, or a new set of cooking utensil stuff for the new home.

ask them what they would like. engagement means they are planning for the wedding soon, so appropriate gifts or money gifts are very important when they are most likely setting up a home for themshelves in the near future.

A book on how to promote a successful marraige, along with scented candles and good bottle of wine.

If they are serious about getting married, serious gifts would be appropriate too.
