By the way "Seneca", I am a New Yorker, and have been for my entire life. I also watched the twin towers get blown up and burned to the ground with my own two eyes (not on the news). I have a right to speak about whetever I want, and so does anybody else. What happened on 9-11 was not an attack by "all muslims" but was carried out by Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. I was asking if we are being brainwashed to hate all muslims, not just Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda.

No, I think we're being brainwashed into liking muslims. All this crap about "Islam is a religion of peace" always being shoved down our throat. The extremestist are the ones actually following the Q'uran. Religion of peace? Muhammad was a warrior.

Good Question -However, This is not so much about being brainwashed to hate Muslims, it is more about viewing the world as "us" and "thems". We would never bomb, kill, maim, do wrong to an "us" but if they are "thems" then we can see us as opponents. Sadly, this is nothing new in our history (not as americans - but as humans)....this is the great sadness about organized religion. Very rarely does it actually serve us to unite together as the beautiful different creatures that we are. This is the same thing that went on with Jesus/Jews, Romans, Crucifying, the Inquisition, the Salem witch trails. Don't y'all see it? If you are not part of "us" we want to crucify/excommunicate/demonize/hang you. We want to kill/end what we do not know - what we fear...And so, we're repeating history again and again and again and again and again and again. Aren't we ever going to evolve as a Species??

Yes, though it's a suttle brainwash, all thanks to the media. Have you noticed that on the yahoo front page, there's always news of "BOMING IN BLAHABLAHBLAH" or "MUSLIM SNIPER KILLS BLAHBLAH"?
I'm pretty sure that there are MANY more important news than those that should deserve the front page.
So yes, we ARE being slowly brainwashed, but then again, the Muslims are being slowly brainwashed to hate us too. Actually, every country involves SOME kind of brainwash. The only reason we don't notice is because it's very suttle, but it's there.

yes-most definetly

this is because whoever started this was the biggest racist and didnt want the world to see what a clean and pure religion this really is- and its so extreme
its like evreryone hates muslims with a passion

i mean its not their faults 9/11 happened

just because the media doesnt critisize any other religion, people think that only muslims terrorize

u cant look at the news one day w/o muslims being critisized
its not like jews, christians, atheists and hindus are not commiting these crimes

and i thought america was a free country w/o racism

this is the most racism since Hitler

Don't ask that question to New Yorkers! We SAW what their fanatics did and THAT has nothing to do with "brainwashing".

Their "leaders" have never condemned the fanatics the have been created from them, their "leaders" have pulled some sneaky international dealings, their fanatics sure can't be trusted, and the "overall mission" is to allow their "strong arm regiment" of fanatics to KILL everyone who isn't them.

It fact, the Hezbollah has further showed us that they don't care if their own kind get killed while their strong arm regiment kills others who are not them.

We need to get off the oil so they can eat it for breakfast, and get on to wiping out every last one of those fanatic muslims!

Media and Church
Believe it or not, but they are responsible for propagating misinformation abt Islam, spreading misconceptions, and to an extent even brainwashing by putting out things that are completely False abt Islam.
Pope's remarks are the latest example of such hatred.
Peace to All.

Any one that is a Christian would know that there is no brainwashing going on especially to hate. The SECOND GREATEST COMMANDMENT is to LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. If you do this then you would obviously know that Christianity does not support the hate of any religion or person.

I think that in certain parts of the country, yes. Being from coastal california, we are more layed back and liberal here, so here we generally don't discriminate. We learn to judge people as individuals instead of groups. There is still rascism, but not as strong.
