If you can; it is always best to stick with your own race. Your family is more likely to approve of someone of your own race. They will be fearful and suspicious of you entering into a relationship with a person whose race they only know stereotypes about. They will fear what they do not understand about this person. I have a close friend who is chinese,I have no problem with that,in the past I have had friends who are Indian,again-no problem.I am caucasian.Look past the skin colour and you will find other races apart from religion and different tastes in food etc-we are all the same.
