When you are ready you will begin to date, I think you are taking a big breather of having that kind of commitment and just have not found it interesting to go back out and date. But someone will catch your attention and then you will be asking, "how do I ask this guy out"

Likeness in something depends person to person. You should not do the things that you donot like.
But there may be another reason. You seems to be in a dilemma whether to do it again or not as you had a bad experience of it. So, you are taking it from negative side.
Forget the bad past experience if it is annoying you. Think positive and take the best outcome only throwing away the junks.

if you're not interested in dating right now that's fine. these things can be rather cyclical. You'll come out of your "dry spell" when you meet the right person. And don't let anyone tell you otherwise - they aren't you.

Not wanting to date anyone is perfectly normal! Dating is a game and it isn't for everyone. Just don't grow reclusive - keep your doors open, but if you don't want to be in a relationship, more power to you.

If you're fine with not being in a relationship that's perfectly fine! There is nothing wrong with it. I would tell your friend to get off your back. Some people are happy being single.

absolutely not. everybody gets the same feeling at atleast one point in their lives. this is the stage when we normally unexpectedly meet somebody great so, just the same, don't close your doors.
maybe your bestfriend doesn't really see you happy with not going out or probablys someone has been asking her to get a date with you and she thinks you'd hit off with this guy. tell her to spills the beans out so you'd understand better. =)

No, it's O.K. to feel that. It may work out for you any way, some of the best relationships start when not looking for one.
