UGH! I know so many girls who act all differently when there's guys around? They do fake giggles and act all innocent and stuff. These are girls my age. early 20s or so. What is wrong w/people! This is typical when you're a high school kid but damn! All this to get guys to like them. I'd rather be myself. I don't care who likes it. Who else hates when people are phony in order to get the attention of the opposite sex?

ok don't get me wrong. I am very outgoing. I just can't stand that I have female friends who act one way but then around a guy they think is cute, they get all giggly when they're not really like that. I know when a friend is being fake I promise.

LOL. I dunno. I guess they feel that guys won't like them for who they are. I agree that it's best to be yourself when it comes to guys. Why try to make someone love you when it's not even the real you?
But just to mention, sometimes people do change. Someone you used to know one way may be totally different the next time you see them. It doesn't always mean they're necessarily phony, just that they have transformed in one way or another (and wiether for the best or not). When I was in high school I tried to be all tough, calm, cool and collected and now I realized in my 20's that I'd rather be a happy giggly gal. ;;>> Yea, that's me. I'm the lone woman who's always giggling while on the phone with her boyfriend.

You GO GIRL! I cannot agree with you more! I hate i hate i hate phony girls!!! So fake and annoying. I think these girls haven't found themselves yet (and are likely to be in a midlife crisis later on in life), and are trying to get attention from guys. In a way they are unhappy and insecure about themselves. I get mad over people like them sometimes, but at other times, I think about it and I tried to put myself in their shoes. At some point in my life (probably when I was in my early teens), I too was one of them. Fortunately I grew out of it. Don't let them bug you, they're just kids...big kids.

To be honest, some girls don't know how to be themselves but then again it's also like meeting someone new no matter if their a guy or not. I really don't mess with phony girls like that so I don't have to put up with it what they do is their business.

i have lots of friends like that. I'm not sure why they do it but maybe they do it because they dont know how to be themselves around guys they like, maybe they think guys like that sort of thing, maybe they just want more attention or something...that what goes through my mind when they do it...i guess it's a teen thing..i just hope my friends can be more mature about that kind of thing when we're in our 20's, thats just a little pathetic really...but yes i do hate it when they do it but at least i'm not making myself look like a total idiot by doing it too lol

Did you ever think that maybe you are seeing their phony side and they are only showing their true side to the guys they want to impress? Perhaps you are just noticing that who you are is dependent on who you want to be. They want to be coquettish so they are. You want to be subdued so you are. One day you may want to be coquettish or flirtatious or any nuber of things and as long as they feel true to you at that time they will be the real you.

girls want to attract guys. this is the wrong idea most people get. i'm sure you are someone that wants people to be themselves, but other people think that outer appearances and impressions count more. girls will be girls, but not all girls are like that.

Really. Just be yourself. The guys that go for that stuff deserve what they get. You can do better than that.

They are actively trying to get laid so that they will have something to ***** about later when they claim that guys don't appreciate them.
