Lets just say my husband is 6'3" and 300plus, and he fits in his mustang. If you go to any mustang events especially with the NMRA, all the guys that drive mustangs are big guys.

My hubby also stated that he has more than enough room to be comfy and that it should be based on how you feel driving the car and not every ones opinion on it.

Before you buy a Mustang, rent one for a couple of days and drive it. Use the rental the same way that you use your car now, for commuting, shopping and anything else. See if you are comfortable in the car.

It is hard to tell how a car will feel when you just test drive it for 5 minutes. By renting the model that you are considering, you can test it under real life conditions!

I'm not tall myself, and have had owned more cars that I care to remember. The odd time I felt it was either too roomy, or too small. The best you can do is take some time to sit in one and see how comfortable you are. The year and model (interior options make it uncomfortable too) will make a big difference as well.

Although not a full answer, I hope it helps.

Definately rent the Mustang as was stated already....

you might also consider a Mercury Marauder ( if you can find one ) or a P71 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor ( yes, the general public CAN own one !! )

s people said, rent one, as the weight ain't the problem, but the heigth is what may be a question I'm a little over 6 feet and I can fit into a new one pretty good (and I'm a big boy)

But the mercury murader will probably be more confortable to you

If it has power seats, you might get by. Barely. I've got a brother your size and he barely fits; OK for around town but long trips are out of the question for him.

have you ever thought of getting up to 400lbs? i wish i was 6'6..if i was 6'6, i'd probably weight close to 400lbs and call myself the "Juggernaut".

my advice? get yourself a little Mazda Miata and drive around with the top down..and park it in front of a restaurant and watch all the people stare at you when you get out of the car.

a big dude driving a small car..that's funny.
i'd do it!
