When you fart in water the gas is contained in the bubbles. So the smell is limited to that small volume. When you fart in the air the smell dissipates in the open air quicker.

because ur shpincter clenches, compressing the pus infested copules of the inner wall of ur intestines which produce methane. When it passes through H20 mixed with fecal matter from uranus exploding through the shpincter eye and is trapped. upon breaking the surface of water u have the tendancy to follow it with ur nose ever delighting. When really it is only ur brain connecting with ur ***. Therefore you wonder, alas.

you are probably like most and take a HOT bath, and/or shower..... meaning there is heat in a small confined area....
heat rises,,,, and when the stink hits the air...it rises.... your nostrils are wide open and parallel to the ground, meaning all air rising up, going directly in the snoz holes, and fast.....including the stink bomb wind....... like a highly concentrated turbo charger,,,,,,, its the heat.
