The problem is that they will most likely commit another crime of pedophilia.

It is a sickness. Like alcoholics should not work in a bar. Pedophiles should not be around children. Because if they are, it is only a matter of time and the right emotional triggers before they will destroy another childs life.

God Bless you,

Wow, Joseph is just a bit sensitive on this one. As repulsive as a pedophile is, and the laws that protect them, there are still laws in force, chopping their nuts off is not an option. There are many out there that would like to do that but unfortunately it's not in your hands. What say we lock them up in a room playing Whitney Houston tunes non stop for say the next 10 to 13 years. Same effect, scrambled brains....

I agree. Sentencing for pedophiles is very low. It is crazy how a person can ruin a child's life and then get nothing but a slap on the wrist. repeat offenders should get at least 20 years in my opinion. This does not go for the 23 year old that was stupid and had sex with a 16 year old. He should just get some sense knocked into his head with a good boot or hand. Those people are just ignorant while the real criminals are sick and of no benefit to our society.

Actually, do some research and you will find that the biggest child porn rings always come back to government or high society types.

This is a link to a documentary the discovery channel had done. It was already in TV Guides schedule for that week but was pulled and ordered destroyed. Watch this documentary and you get the answer to your question.

It's hard to convict a child molester, the scare and intimidate the child with lies and the childs testimony is hard to prove at a young age.Slick Lawyers get there sentences reduced. You have to catch them and know what they are doing to get solid evidence. The cases in Florida, they kill then get caught.

I wish you would have stated a specific example that causes you to think of it that way. You are probably referring to a specific newsworthy event that happened and the sentence seemed light in comparison to the crime. Knowing more may help to respond better to your question. Using California as an example, sex crimes can easily yield prison terms far exceeding the common term for robbery, often up to life terms, and accumulated terms surpassing life terms.

Not to shift your question to the latter but: why can I commit cold blooded murder, and receive the same time as some one who committed robbery,

there Is NO scale of balance In the system, due to how convoluted the legal system has evolved, NO COMMON SENSE IS BROUGHT INTO PLAY

That is why it is important to make sure that every inmate in the prison knows who is being locked up for molesting children.
