Bad_Pool_Caller

STOP:0x000000c2 (0x00000007, 0x00000CD4, 0x02060002, 0x88AC5968)

I typed it in google and found nothing, and when I typed it in microsoft, it found nothing till I typed only the first line in. Then it popped up with something about windows 2000, and I have XP.

Aside from that, I get errors randomly, and things shut down, usually not the whole system, but it has happened. It just goes blank. No blue screen, just instant shutdown.

Now, today, which is about 2 weeks since its started, I now have a weird thing that pops up. It happens whenever I open something, regardless if it needs internet or not. Its a driver/service that constantly wants to be deleted. event log\application\microsoft\h.323 Telephony Service Provider

I have no idea what to do. I really dont want to redo windows, I have way too much stuff on here. And itll take about 2 weeks to clear off. So is it fixable? Oh yeah, I did a registry program, and it showed abour 400 things. Which I deleted most because I knew what they were, but then there were ones I have never seen.

Ill try the critical updates again, but I dont think theres any right now, I just did them on wednesday.

I didnt upgrade from windows 2000, this computer has been xp only. I have added hardware, but I havent had any trouble till now. I added about 8 months ago.

And my friend was telling me about memory pool. I didnt get all that he said because it was at a restraunt, but he said something about having to change a setting so it wouldnt do that. What setting was he talking about? Or is it a setting? I cant remember...

Go back on windows upate and install your critical updates. about 2 weeks ago the put out a update that med Internet explorer shut down and some systems to reboot. A few days later they put another patch out to fix this. I am not sure if its the same problem your having, but worth a try

research the stopkey STOP:0x000000c2

Stop 0xC2 or BAD_POOL_CALLER

The Stop 0xC2 message indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver incorrectly attempted to perform memory operations in the following ways:

By allocating a memory pool size of zero bytes.
By allocating a memory pool that does not exist.
By attempting to free a memory pool that is already free.
By allocating or freeing a memory pool at an IRQL that was too high.
This Stop message is typically due to a faulty driver or software.

Possible Resolutions:

A Stop 0xC2 messages might occur after installing a faulty device driver, system service, or firmware. If a Stop message lists a driver by name, disable, remove, or roll back the driver to correct the problem. If disabling or removing drivers resolves the issues, contact the manufacturer about a possible update. Using updated software is especially important for multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, DVD playback, and CD mastering tools.
A Stop 0xC2 messages might also be due to failing or defective hardware. If a Stop message points to a category of devices (such as disk controllers, for example), try removing or replacing the hardware to determine if it is causing the problem.
If you encounter a Stop 0xC2 message while upgrading to Windows XP, the problem might be due to an incompatible driver, system service, virus scanner, or backup. To avoid problems while upgrading, simplify your hardware configuration and remove all third-party device drivers and system services (including virus scanners) prior to running setup. After you have successfully installed Windows XP, contact the hardware manufacturer to obtain compatible updates.

I personnally would uninstall that telephony driver and find an updated version. Also run virus scans

hi
dont worry
first of all ..seems that u have a virus of something
u can keep working till u finish ur work....paying attention to the existence of that virus...
or u may have problem with the Windows CD u used to setup ur system...
or u may have a little bug with ur hard drive...
all what u explained ... in my modest opinion...is not suffecient to tell us the right reason...
u can try restore ur system...but it will not recover everything...
take care...
to waste few more hours doing windows again is better than losing all ur important data u may have on ur hard drive...
plz take care and tell us about any more details...
also i need to tell u..if u newly installed new RAM... u may have some confilict or your ram got some bad...
may be...
i am not sure..
thanks

oh, they gave you such a long answer, which i think that you don't have a patience to read them all the way. here's to make their answer simplier; go to: http://www.freewarefiles.com/program_9_100_9367.html

download and install TweakNow RegCleaner, then run this application, in a quick mode, expert level, then delete all that will be shown in the results (green tags for safe, and blue tags for unknown), run this application once more, then restart your pc, then run it again in the beginners mode.

good luck, cheers!!!
