No they won't affect it in any way, they are actually quite common. I have had them for years. I have had two boys with no problems at all.

I just found out I have a few cysts on my left ovary, and my right ovary is slightly enlarged. I was told the cysts dissolve on their own most of the time, and that this is a common thing for a woman. I don't think you should have a problem conceiving or having a healthy baby, but definitely have a couple of follow up appointments just to make sure the cysts are clearing up. They should shrink on their own, and as long as your doc didn't find anything odd about the cysts, you're just fine. Heating pads work really well for pain, and you can take over the counter pain meds if you need to. These cysts form every month when you menstruate, but once in a while, they can grow large and cause pain. It's nothing to worry about. I wish you the best with your baby plans! Let us know when you have your little bundle of joy!!

Well Ovarian cysts and endometriosis fall under the same category. I had endometriosis and it was very painful for me. the doctor told me that endometriosis (like cyst) are common amongst most women and usually they clear up on there own. Most women are not even aware they have them unless they are in a further stage or they burst. it IS possible to conceive but it may be hard. When i had Endometriosis the pain was affecting my love life. I have a simple surgery called a laparoscopyand a few months later i got pregnant. Although it isn't curable they can still come back but most the time they are preventable by going on some kind of birth control. Having them while pregnant isn't really a big deal as long as they don't grow. The doc will keep an eye on it. I have 2 healthy boys and 1 more on the way (the third one is the one i got pregnant w/ after the surgery)
Below are 2 website that may help answer any further questions you may have.
Hope i was of help and good luck

I have had poly-cystic ovary disease for years also. I have had 5 children without any problems. A couple of the pregnancies the cysts grew and I needed more frequent ultrasounds in the early months, but once the hormone levels became more stable during the pregnancies the cysts shrunk to their normal size again without any problems. IF the cysts do grow they may become a bit painful, but your OB/GYN can help you with that. Take care and best of luck.....

I have ovarian cysts, because of which my period was irregular and I found it difficult to conceive. My doc put me on some tabs and injections and I conceived the first month after medication started. So good luck and don't worry. Modern medicine is fab.

I also have PCOS and while I have been told that I would be able to get pregnant, I have not been able to do so naturally. There are ways that your doctor can recommend to assist you in getting pregnant, and that is probably the best route to go if you would like to have a baby. I HAVE NOT heard anything about miscarriages tho, these are all excellent questions to ask a specialist. There is a website http://www.pcosupport.org/ that will answer all of your questions! Good luck!

The first thing you want to do is to talk about it with your doctor. But from what I heard it is possible to get pregnant in your condition, but it may take longer. Anyway my advice to you is to get rid of that cysts, either way they are no good for you.
