It sounds like you are having a problem with your Otic nerves. They are what controls what we hear, how we hear it, and the volumes we hear at. Have you had a cold or the flu lately, this sometimes causes them to get out of whack. If it is really bothering you. I would go to the doctor. Only a professional can test and diagnose you. Good luck

some times the sound of silence is deafening ,when every thing else is quiet you notice sounds that are normaly masked by the bussy day .some times our mind locks in on these sounds like ths tick tick tick of a clock ,these sounds seem unusualy loud .
try a sound therapy machine or some soft music to cover up the sounds
and no your not crazy (such a rude word crazy)

This happens to some people. Often, when their hearing is sensitive, so is their vision. They have to get out of the light for a while, and sit in the quiet.

Have it checked out. It's probably a physical thing or an unusual medication side effect. Not to alarm you but occasionally people who are entering the early stages of schizophrenia or a manic episode may develop a heightened sense of sight or sound. Sounds are more intense, colors brighter, etc. but they almost always have other symptoms.

One of the symptoms of migraines is sensitivity to sound and/or light. You might be at the onset of a migraine.
There are other things that can cause this. Most likely nothing too serious. If it continues over the next couple of days talk to your doc.

Ive always wondered if someone else has experienced, and indeed they have. I used to go through that all the time, let me tell you, what ever you do, dont go to the bathroom because the hum of the silence and the drops of the water are deafining. Your not alone, and now i know im not either, try watching the news, thats what worked for me.

It could be psychosomatic or it can be a disorder. I would go to your regular doctor and see if he/she gives you a referral for a mental health physician. And don't feel weird about it, it can be a simple anxiety disorder that will go away if you get help dealing with stress.

NO! You are not crazy, yet!
it is most likely, that, you have ear wax build up. Try to see a doctor just in case.
