there is no magic pill, you gotta spend time in the word. I come here to share the word, and sometimes I get an attitude with some of the outrageous and indecent comments/ questions and I forget why I am here, and post an offensive answer. (My appologies to anyone to whom I have done this by the way).
It is not readily apparent, but the more time you spend in the word of God, you start to get a picture of God's character as it is revealed through scripture. And it is incredibly beautifull. there is no doubt that God is a tender loving God to those who love him, and as we begin to obey Gods word, change begins to take place. let me offer this as proof to that end: 1 John 2:5-6 5But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: 6Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
Notice two things here: if we OBEY his word, GOD'S LOVE is truly made complete in us.... What a reward for obediance!! God gives us HIS love!! and he will make it complete in us. it certainly is a different kind of love than what we know in the world. and two: if we claim to live in him we MUST walk as Jesus did. this means to conciously turn from gratifying the flesh, however we habitually do that.
Another big reward for obediance is complete Joy (see john15:10-11)
dont know if I have answered your question but yes, people have a warped sense of what love is.

The only way christians can show healthy love, is to stay and live in the word and also ask God to show us how. Also, we need to practice it, so that it can become 2nd nature and the more we practice with those its hard to love the more we learn about ourselves as a person and how to adjust to the particular ways some people have. Its never helpful for us and anyone around us to totally ignore people. However we do have to watch how much time we spend with some people. As bad as it sound its thye truth due to the fact we can be pulled down easier than pulled up. Showing love isnt hugs and gifts and annoying others, but it is showing that we are friendly and that people are important to us. If we ever want a succesful ministrie in soul winning we have to have the mind set that he who has friends must show himself friendly.

You say judging is all THEY know how to do. First, could you please be specific as to who THEY are. I assume from this statement you personally have come in contact with every Christian living on planet earth today. Could you please list all their names on this forum so we can ask each one of them to stop being judgmental?
Ok but seriously now. If you have only run across judgmental Christians either the only Christians you have been exposed to are angry Christians on this forum. Angry Christians frustrate me too. And I'm a Christian. Or -- you just don't have a very big circle of friends who are Christians. I assure you there are many Christians out there who actually leave the judging up to God. You look a little further.

All we can do is try not to and pray each day that we do not judge but SOME christianTRY not to let there first thought make up their minds like some christian or non christians may. So christians do love right and so do non christians you just have to try to control your first thought and do not let that first thought ruin a good friendship
well i hope this helps you i did my best to give a good answer.

I dont think this is limited to just christians, but to all people. I feel that if everyone was just a bit more considerate of others, the world would be a better place. If people realized that the world doesnt revolve around them and that their problems werent the only ones. Ex: while driving, let that driver in front of you. Walking in the mall, realize that person that stopped in front of you didnt know you were behind them. Simple ways of changing ones thought process could make a huge improvement! Maybe everyone should try it for one day and they may realize things arent as bad as they make it to be.

It isn't that hard to love your neighbor, if they are spiteful, I just smile and say hello, I always try to be kind to everyone, although there have been a couple of times I lost my cool and said something I regretted. First of all I try not to argue about religion, to much trouble there, then I keep my opinions to myself, I don't want to be a nosy, bossy neighbor. So far it has worked, but I also pray a lot and ask for endurance and patience. In reality most people crave for friendly people. If you love God, just knowing the love He has for us makes it easy to love others, just like He taught us when He walked the earth.

To judge others is just a natural human failing- we all do it. As a Christian, we should have our judgemental thoughts, but then help the person, regardless. Maybe you don't like someone, but helping them when they need it? That's a Christian act. We're going on to a better place where looks, talent, wealth, etc. isn't going to matter. Worry more about getting there, than what everyone's wearing when you get there. God bless!

to understand healthy love( that's one wording i have never heard of , but i hope i answer write) you should read the bible. don't just read the new, but also the old. read it for your own understanding and don't just take the word of others without looking into the whole direction. if they mention 1 scripture read the whole chapter(example only = if they say acts 2:14 ,read acts 2:1-47) you should always make a understanding of a scripture for yourself and what your heart says. i don't know if this makes sense to your question. god bless you though for the direction you are trying to use.
to love right is to know what is right in your heart. its to know how god and Jesus would truly look at you when you make the right decision. its how you feel god and Jesus looks at you not what a mortal man or woman says or does.

I don`t know if anyone is perfect in the consept of loving as God said to love.We can only do the best we know how.To love your neighbor as yourself ,thats very hard and probably most fall short on that. But the word says no greater love hath any man then he lay down his life for another. We have folks who go to war to protect us and our country. To keep our country free.Their are those who go into burning buildings to save someone and could possibly lose their own life in doing so.And there are lots of other ways a person hasput theit life on the line for someone else or given their life for another. So when you look at it that way,we do no how to love but sometimes it`s only showed in desperate situations.

We can all take lessons from our pets. Dogs ,cats, horses, whatever. Your dog loves you no matter what you look like, what you do for a living or what you believe in.
It's called unconditional love.
That you have love for another basically, just because he or she exists, and not because you agree with how they carry on their life.
It's not always an easy thing to do but it IS the lesson being taught by Jesus when he hung out with those on the lower end of society.
