in a biological science tutorial, one student commented to another, 'hey, did you know that in our lab we're using politicians now instead of rats?'
'really?' the other replied. 'how come?'
'well, for three reasons: first, there are more politicians in alleys and back streets than rats; second, the lab assistants don’t get attached to them; and third, there are some things even a rat wont do. the only problem with using politicians, however, is that its far more difficult to apply our findings to real human beings.’

I would test the student wondering why they were testing on politicians. They should have said, "well it's about time"!

I would never test on an animal. And I just read that comment in Reader's Digest actually a couple of days ago, except it was about lawyers instead of politicians
