I'm 16, and I want to loose about 30 pounds. Obviously, eating a healthy diet, and exercising daily is the best way to do it, but do you guys have any food or exercise suggestions, tips, anything? Roughly how long will it take to loose 30 pounds? Only serious answers please. And thanks for the help!

drink all the water you can
get rid of junk food in the house so you are not tempted
find a friend to exercise with or listen to music to make the time go by
mix up exercise routines( one day jog, the next bike, then swm, yoga, tennis, rowing, rollerblade, basketball, sprints up stairs, light weight training etc) to keep them fun and interesting and work different areas of your body.
dont eat in the late evening. the earlier you stop eating the better. i try to eat dinner by 5 pm everyday then sometimes have a very light and healthy snack about an hour later. this can make all the difference.
weigh yourself regularly for encouragment from seeing the weight loss and to know quickly whenyou are gaining so you can adjust your diet and exercising. but dont become a slave to the scale(for a while i was weighing myself after every meal and snack and that is not healthy nor will is it good for effectively losing weight). i suggest weighing every other day but find what works for you. also use a measuring tape for your waist hips etc it will take longer to results with the tape but stick with it.

you dont say if you are a little overweight or alot but if you are a little overweight i would say it would be healthiest to lose 30 in 3 months. if you are alot overweight then maybe 2 months. i all depends. just be consistent and take one pound at a time. good luck

There are no tricks or shortcuts to losing weight. You are absolutely right saying that you need to stick to a healthy diet and daily excercise. Make sure you do a lot of cardio work out to burn of the fat rather than weight lifting which will bulk you up. Ideally combine a bit of both. Eat frequently (about 6 meals a day) but small meals. Reduce carbs in the evenings and eat more fat burning foods. You are still young, so as long as you keep up the excercise you should be able to shift the weight in a couple of months.

Avoid crash diets...they do give results, but the weight will come back with a few extra kilos. I know. I've been yoyo dieting since I was 16 and now 18 years later, I have finally found the right way.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

It is healthy to lose 2 pounds a week, so if you are losing weight at a healthy rate, it will take you about 3 to 4 mnths to lose 30 pounds. It probably won't take you that long though. You should drink a lot of water, the whole 64 oz a day, because it speeds up your metabolism, and you should also, instead of eating 3 big meals a day, try eating small healthy meals every 2 to 3 hours, or 6 times a day, that will also speed up your metabolism. And of course, exercise, cardio is the best for fat burning. Running, hiking, swimming, etc. Try cutting out most sweets from your diet. Good luck.

Well , im pretty sure , you are a girl because your name is Lindsay so maybe( and you probably do) like shopping, walk around the mall all day when you go , jog around the neigherborhood looking for
something like, your goal for your jog that day will be find 25 red cars, then you can stop and the next day, set a new goal ( jog untill you find 30-35 white cars or more, whatver you feel you can do. And remeber water water water. Email me if you want =) Good luck! oh and I think thirty pounds might take about 3-4 months or so, if you lose 2 pounds a week, but if you lose about 4 a week then about 1 1/2 - 2 months or so , Good luck!! and stick to it!

i know NO one will believe that but well, i am on this diet pills that my friend brought me from Hong Kong. The first week i took I had already lost 3kg, this is the second week, i hope i can lose another 3 kg. Don't know if u want to try it or not, it costs AU$30 per bottle??? At the moment i don't suffer any side effect and i can still enjoy eating chocolate and chips. I had tried Herbalife before but it didn't work on me .
This product is easy to take, what u have to do is take 2 tablets each day, one before breakfast and one before dinner. if u want to loss weight fast, u can take another one before lunch but i don't recommend it because u will loss too fast already by taking 2 each day

Am a guy and am advised last as follows:

= To walk atleast 30 minutes a day;
= To stop eating heavingly after 7.00 pm; &
= Regular food intervals

It would take atleast 6 months to lose weight.

Approximately it takes a month to month and half to lose 30 lbs.. Drink plenty of water. Eat plenty of veggies and fruits. Make sure you have colon cleansers (this helps remove toxics from your body) and help you reduce your weight.
