It slows to a stop

The same thing that happens to all the other things that are powered by electricty, they shut down. When it occurs, subways and electric locomotives simply shut down, which leads to panic and anger. Usually, when it does happen, passengers try to hike along the tracks, which is not only dangerous, but illegal. Most just have either wait until power returns or they are moved to another train.

it stops!!! But... the new technology european trains, when they break they produce power because the engine works as a generator. Image... if few break... some will run (if they are in flat plain). If we have tuning we can have energy in the same cable without using any other external factor...
In any case.. it stops. But for the lights, doors, electronic systems, they have batteries.

I hope I helped you. If you have a special question, ask.

It stops, no lights, doors can't open, wait for a crew instructor for wat to do because it is a emergency!

EDIT: And if u live here in Australia, NSW you can see a train company called Cityrail. CityRail also have guards in trains for checking tickets they can also sort out the emergency!
