I like this guy who I occasionly see. One day I was hanging out with him and he was telling his buddies how he had to book his flight to see his girlfriend. His girlfriend lives 7 states away and he will be seing her in 3 months for a special event. He demonstrated alot of interest in me but why would he say this? He really showed he liked me because he was nervous around me, his pupils dilated when he saw me, and he was checking me out. (I can tell when someone likes me.) I feel very sad becasuse I didn't even know he had a girlfriend. Why would he say this when he showed great interest?

Additional Details
I am a naturally cute and sweet girl that lets herself be respected (I don't dress slutty at all and I am not provocative). I also wear no makeup since I don't require it and because I want guys to like me for my true self.
Also they both go to two different universities and they will continue to be separated for two additional years.

Honestly,,,,
In that situation based on this words.........
he probably does love his girlfriend, but in life we all need someone there for affection, support, sex, etc. Not to say that he wants to cheat, but I view that as a suttle hint that he wants to be honest but MIGHT be telling you that he has a situation that is not fulfilling. Long distance relationships for the most part do not work. Keep on being there for him. You will be that person that he turns to, and soon it will be 100% You..

He is attracted to you but also wants to be sure you know that if you feel the same way and become involved you cannot have any hold on him because he already has someone. It is his "escape clause" that allows him to mess around without you being able to demand anything of him in the way of commitment. If he keeps acting interested in you when he knows you know he has a girlfriend he is not someone who will respect you and will soon be seen for the creep he is. If he'll cheat on her he'll cheat on you. Don't even think about getting involved with him unless you know for sure he has broken up with his current girlfriend.

Hello, i'm a 27 year old guy,

i have had the same thing happen to me by girls,

About two months ago at work i was chasing after this girl that was really hot, i told her that i liked her and she said that she liked me too. We started going to lunch and allthat stuff and we did this for about a month, then one day she says that she gave her number out to this cute guy she met and she wanted "me" to tell her why i thought that he hadn't called her.

So I'd have to say that he probably has his eyes set on another girl, i wouldn't worry about it. this kinda stuff happens all the time, however it does sound like he's kind of immature or maybe kind of a player,, However his love for you is not genuine

For some strange reason, guys like to 'keep one on the back burner'. I mean we tend to keep a mental list of girls we would hang out with more if the opportunity was there, so we make an effort to keep some kind of open rapport with certain women. Feeling the suppressed need to do this seems to diminish with age. (It did for me anyways)

i would move on, you run the risk that he is using you for convenience and you are wasting time you could be spending looking for someone that will care about you.

i have seen these things in the past and the boy may break up with the gf but he never winds up with the one he cheated with,

If your so naturally cute and sweet, why are you wasting time with this guy? Sounds like you could get any one you liked and if that fails you could always go out with yourself since you obviously find yourself so attractive.
Oh dear.......that was a bit bitchy!!

PS Sorry I've had a bad day!

Maybe you just read him wrong. He might not like you. His pupils could dialate because of the complection of your skin, and he might not be getting nervous.
