If the Quran is a "peaceful religion" then can someone please point a verse or two that promotes peace? Does the Quran even mention the word peace?

Jamal,

So it's all about "if" ? That's not promoting peace. That would just be going along with it.

This line of thinking is what has Bin Laden killing so many innocent people. I haven't done anything violent to any muslim and yet I could be killed tomorrow in the name of Jihad. All because someone didn't think the "if" was there.

dude havent you been able to see the truth about the 'peaceful religion'.................we all know that but as you know we cant talk about it or else we would be branded racist. remember its the religion in which to destroy pagan worship , it is promoted that once a place is conquered then first destroy the place of worship of the vanquished, but anyways who cares they are just a bunch of peacefull people................

“Whoever killed a human being, except as a punishment for murder or other wicked crimes, should be looked upon as though he had killed all mankind; and that whoever saved a human life should be regarded as though he had saved all mankind.” ~ The Table; Sura 5:32.

I'd say that enforcing moral ramifications against murder and praising those who save life IS promoting peace... But heres some more.

"And the servants of Allah . . . are those who walked on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say 'Peace be upon you and yours'" [25:63]

But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things).
