They are clean shaved because it is not a custom in America to take a bath every morning like we do in India.
They don't bathe, even brush their teeth every morning. But they only shave every morning.
Think in a situation, if a person has beard. How he would be stinking.
Therefore, they are clean shaved and it is easy for them to just use perfume, body spray, aftershave spray etc. to small good.

there's plenty of Americans with facial hair...hey lets not limit it to the men...lmao I think it's a issue of how they are percieved by others...alot of people really don't trust someone with a full beard more so than just a mo! Hell Hitler kinda made that style unpopular and the unibomber did it for the rest...

Because we like the clean shaven look and feel as do a lot of women I think. And let,s be honest 90% of men,s beard,s look pretty cheesy either because they are not full or kept neatly trimmed IMHO anyway.

Sometimes it IS work policy but MOST Americans who prefer clean shaven faces, like it because of hygeine.
Beards and mustaches pick up odors more than the hair on our heads. They also pick up food particles and food and smoke odors.
A bad smell is NEVER attractive.
Also, when it comes to the ladies.....We don't liked the sharp ends of facial hair. It pokes us in the face and other places as well. It hurts and it is never sexy when something hurts.
Smoothe is much sexier.

Yeah I think a lot of it has to do with looking formal and presentable. Even if a little facial hair looks sexy, a shaven face does look more professional.

Chuck Norris has a beard. It's for strategic purposes. He doesn't have a chin behind his beard, but rather a third fist.

I hadn't noticed. I wish it were so! I don't think that most places of employment care about the chin whiskers.
