You really shouldn't be wanting your hair blonder. I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say, but I think you want your hair blonder but not by the pool chemicals? You can't make your highlights go away.Chlorine makes you hair green and the combination will make your hair so dry it will be like straw and it does wind up blonder. It really doesn't matter whether you wear a cap or not it still gets wet with the pool water.

Try getting your hair wet first. Your hair is like a sponge. If you can get the cap on then do so. but rinse then wash and condition your hair as soon as possible.

Go to get your hair cut regularly and have them do a treatment on you for chlorine damage.

You're not gonna like this...but you have to use a swim cap! Yes they're dorky, but less dorky than mossy green highlights. Chlorine is bleach. So it is probably removing the toner that your stylist used on your highlights to make them look nice. Either that or it's removing the darker color that made your highlights stand out (lowlights). No matter what, it's not good news for your color.

Try wetting your hair thoroughly with fresh water before you get in the pool. Hair is like a sponge and after it's full of water it can't hold any more. This only works though for a short swim. If you have to be in the pool for a long period of time...use the swim cap on top of the wet hair.

There are some shampoo's out there that have a small amount of color in them. The shampoo's for blonde hair that look dark purple will keep them from looking yellow-ish. There's several on the market in varying price ranges...just use it only 1-2 times a week. NO MORE!!! or your highlights will start to look grey...and that's not cool

Have you tried using a special shampoo for highlighted/colored hair? What about a special shampoo/conditioner for a swimmer's hair??

I'm not sure if you are trying to keep your highlights from turning green or some other color. Even if you use a swimming cap, do you get your hair wet with regular water before putting the cap on? When you wet your hair (in tap water), the strands open up and absorb the water----instead of the chlorinated pool water.

I just found a great site that talks about how to protect your hair.

Good luck & hope it helps!

once you're questioning of highlighting your organic blonde hair, determine you circulate to a expert. working with bleach is a state-of-the-paintings ingredient, which could quite injury your hair and scalp. seek for a expert on your section who makes a speciality of colour and who has taken added training or training in that section. ultimately, pick a coloration that reinforces your organic colour (heat or cool coloration) and your dermis tone. i'm a organic blonde myself and that i latterly have been given highlights, however the stylist I went to left the bleach on too long and it unquestionably burned my scalp. be careful! It not at all hurts to get concepts on a solid stylist. walking in someplace you do not understand with out any examine isn't a solid thought!

you need to wash the chlorine of your hair with a chalating shampoo.than get a deep condition.artec makes a shampoo that is blue that will keep your hair from getting brassy its called white violet. also when you swim put in a leave conditioner so the chlorine has something to go through before it gets to your hair and so that its being conditioned while you swim
