I use Mentadent. When I started using it, I had really yellow teeth (coffee drinker here), and nothing else had worked, not even strips had worked, besides the fact that the strips made my sensitive gums swell and burn, and if I acccidentaly swallowed the stuff, made my stomach hurt. I used it twice and I began to see a difference. I now have almost perfectly white teeth, without professional cleanings (when I had braces, they refused to do them, and I haven't been able to find a new dentist since I got them off and decided to drop the old one), and without the whitening products like strips, or in office whitening, even though I would like to get that done eventually, but it's expensive (Normally 300+ per session, I read) and takes usually 1-3 treatments, depending on the stain.

My dental hygenist is against using them. She said they are abrasive to the enamel of your teeth .
. She suggests the whiteening strips, or in office whitening procedures.
