Now the Muslims are upset with the pope. Are Muslims the only ones who can criticize other religions?

The pope was quoting from a recorded conversation between a 14th Christian emperor and a Muslim cleric. In the quote was a bit how the teachings of Mohammed are evil and inhuman because of spreading his faith by the sword. Now the Muslims are all riled up, calling the pope all kinds of names, and demanding an apology. What do they call Christians, Jews, Hindus, atheists? Why is it acceptable for them to condemn other beliefs, or lack thereof? And lets face it, it is evil and inhuman when you kill ppl because they refuse to accept your beliefs. It is evil and inhuman when you blow ppl up because some pedophile over a thousand years ago said it was what God wanted. Why should they act the victim when other ppl speak out against that type of mind-set?

Islam is the only religion on earth that has the inalienable right to lie and deceive so as to commit murder and violence against non-Muslims.
Their's is the religion that has the right to vehemently demand the heads of all who challenge her, and also the right to denigrate and kill all who are not adherents.
It is by far the most pieceful religion on earth today!(notice I wrote pieceful not peaceful).

Are not all of us glad to be a part of the chapter, that will prove to be the most violent and murderous in human history!

I think the reaction to these comments has simply proved the Pope's point. I hope people are paying attention to this, like you are. Also pay attention to how other religions react when they are criticized. Many Christians, especially Catholics, were deeply offended by the recent DaVinci Code movie and book. Have any theaters been blown up? Any bookstores burned down? Any calls for Dan Brown's head on a platter? Mature religions can handle criticism without resorting to violence.

be it Torah, Zabur or Injil-Bible -- all these books were altered, parts of it rejected, deletd, added and destroyed. thus the authenticity of all these Holy Books were lost with time.

i think we all know what the church and Archbishop did in the year 100 AD, further in 354AD Constantine again changed the birthdate of Jesus-pbuh. and in the 14th century French Revouliton with the event of rising Protestants, again some changes were made to the rules and commandments of Holy Bible. even today people are using the commandments as per their convenience. they sin, they confess and go out only to sin again.

every christian agrees to the fact that -- the image of jesus-pbuh today is wrong and is an interpretation of an artist yet u dont mind bowing down to a wrong image. so that means u are not worsipping jesus-pbuh if u have given him a wrong image.

God specifically defined the forbidden ways that were used to worship idols. He realized human nature’s tendency to justify loopholes around His instructions.. u are a non-beleiver or kaafir--not because u are a part of Islam but because u even forgot the teachings of jesus christ and alter his every word as per ur convenience. ao according to jesus christ u atill are a non-beleiver. so can u give me an answer for this?
