Like a lot of things, drinking is bad when done to excess. Moderate drinking has few bad effects and some good effects. It can help circulation, provide some anti-oxidants, etc. I also just read an article today that said social drinkers earn more than strict non-drinkers. The occasional drink or two in a social setting with your boss and co-workers helps form friendships and get ahead.

It is the excessive drinking that leads to poor health, poor work performance, poor family relationships, etc. The bottom line is, don't be so rigid that you can't relax.

i dont really know how much is safe because alcohol affects every1 differently. What i do know is that i drink and i enjoy myself and my company 95% of the time when i do. I drink beer because when me and my friends get together thats what we do drink alcohol, ply cards, dance, laugh, joke etc. i drink wine with dinner cuz it make some foods taste better. And i drink liquor when im out at a club or bar because that just what i do. As long as u dont abuse it drinking alcohol is not bad for ur health.

in fact 1 glass a wine a day is good for ur heart.

Like every thing else in this world, anything to the excess is bad for your health. It's been proven by doctors that a little bit of wine each day is GOOD for you, but that doesn't mean you should go out and be an alcoholic...you know what i mean? Hope that helped a little...

Alcohol/liquor is not bad if you drink it a few times occasionally. Wine is known to cure/prevent some illnesses and is said that it is good for the heart. Now too much of anything and everything is definitely bad. (Not just alcohol)

Did you know that too much of anything is bad for your health??

Have you ever tried drinking a gallon of milk in an hour (calcium is good for you but i wouldn't do it).

The key is moderation! And understanding your limits and weaknesses.

doctors say one glass of wine every day is good for your heart. actually, about 5-6 glasses is best for your heart every day, but when you drink that much each day, your liver starts to take a beating. so that's why they say only one glass of wine per day is best.

people still drink because it makes them feel good, even if it does damage their liver in the long run. it's like smoking - it hurts your lungs, but people still do it anyway.

Heavy alcohol consumption can be bad. It can cause chirrosis of the liver which you can die from. People drink sometimes to dull emotional pain, to fit in with those around them, boredom, etc.
