Do you have to use filters with the Mr. Coffee CBTU45 commercial maker?

I have one of these machines but I am not sure how to use it and cannot find any information online:

Yes, you have to use filters of some sort because if you ingest to much of the coffe grounds it can do harm to you stomach lining.
